Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)

Do you think it was consensual? I might agree if it was just one suspect. But the fact that it was 2, and that it was in the boys bathroom makes me think it really was rape. As to why the boys/men were still at school. They probably assumed they would not get caught. |
Thank you for clarifying! I'm the PP whose kids will be zoned for Rockville who posted above. |
| I hadn't realized there were cameras at this Rockville school (I am the PP suggesting cameras). I have a child at Westland and there are no cameras there. They have not caught the children who sprayed the swastikas nor do they seem to care at this point. They think it doesn't matter because we should just be nicer. As a parent, I do think it matters. |
Annnnnd the right time to rape someone would be...? |
| There are cameras at my child's MCPS middle school. I had no idea until he was physically assaulted by a bully, reported it, and the school was able to verify with the tape. |
Shocking that it was during school hours when another student could walk in bathroom. |
According to the police report (in MD case search), the 17 year old suspect was 4'5" tall and weighed 125 pounds. |

Bethesda Magazine stated they are recent immigrants and being held without bond.
You were correct, appears illegally here. |
Bethesda Magazine stated that they were being held without bond due to the serious nature of their crimes. The judge added that as recent immigrants, they may also be a flight risk. Be accurate. |
There is no such thing as a recent immigrant who is an authorized immigrant? How about that. |
Immigrant does not mean illegal. SMH |
| How in the hell does this happen? Weren't there people around? I am so incredibly disgusted by this - school should be a safe place. |
It happened in my high school my senior year. A girl was pulled into a side stairwell and raped during class. It was discovered when class let out and someone found her there, crying. There were no cameras. It was in a part of the school where there was not regular traffic during class (i.e., no bathrooms or external doors nearby, no hall monitors other than by the door by the main office, no cameras). After this happened, they put hall monitors in every hallway and required everyone to have a visible ID card and hall pass to be in the halls at all. |
I posted that. Mostly I meant that it'd seem like there would be people around at that time and tougher to get away with something like that. Versus maybe after school or later at night after some HS event. But I agree, it's obviously never the right time and it can obviously happen at anytime. Terrible. |
