I like the ones which are just straightforward and informative: Tysons Corner Children's Center. Short, sweet, to the point. You got location, you got the mission. Done. It also tells me it is run by adults who can a) spell and b) not be too cutesy.

You would like working at our agencies then. We work for boring agencies which includes NASA's Goddard Child Development Center and the IRS Child Development Center. Pretty boring. I mean we have things like Space Camp and the Junior Astronauts program, you'd think we could come up with something entertaining.

NASA should rename their daycare The Little Launch Pad. And maybe the IRS's daycare could be called Dinky Deductions

I love it--Little Deductions!

Commerce also has a boring name, and I think it should be Tiny Traders or something.

There is a place in North Carolina called The Academy of Spoiled Kids. Nearly drove off the road when I passed it.

Dawn of the Smurfs. In Falls Church. And I bet there's no way they actually got a license to use that trademark.

Can't believe no one has chimed in yet with Amazing Life Games. It's a wonderful little place but the name is so weird....

There's one in my neighborhood called "Missing Love Daycare" - apparently the mom guilt is free with tuition!

Yes! I hate intentional misspellings.

Kidz Korner. No, fucking way I am sending my babies there.

There's a chain called U-Gro in PA. Awful.

I opened this thread to add this one. Awful.

Kidz Planet, Vienna. Baby, Preschool and Child Land was taken, so they went to space!

In Vegas they have daycare centers that are open 24-7 365 days a year.

Vegas isn't the only place that has all night daycare. Right here in good ole DC there are some Bright Horizons that take kids for the night.

La Petite Academy sounds unbelievably pretentious as a French speaker. Even more so when it is misspelled as La Petit Academy. Cringeworthy.

Well, if parents have to work swing or graveyard shifts, or on holidays, and they don't have a family member who can cover for them, what are they going to do? Not everyone can have a nice, predictable 9-5 office job.

Which Bright Horizons are open late? To my knowledge the one they were planning didn't come through given various building issues. But maybe they've opened in the last two years since I left their employment?
