Vegas isn't the only place that has all night daycare. Right here in good ole DC there are some Bright Horizons that take kids for the night.

Well, if parents have to work swing or graveyard shifts, or on holidays, and they don't have a family member who can cover for them, what are they going to do? Not everyone can have a nice, predictable 9-5 office job.

Seriously! Are you implying the only people who need daycare are office workers? There's plenty of police, nurses, doctors and firefighters that work graveyard shifts. My mom was a doctor who worked nights and she had a lot of difficulty when my dad was on business trips and she had to work. A lot of calling in favors and expensive nannies.

Ok, off topic, but there's a Cake Courtesan in Bowie that makes high-end cakes. Maybe it should be making birthday cakes for some of the odder centers. I think that people just don't know what words mean anymore, or they wish to sound sophisticated.

Give me a break. A day care is not an academy.

Beat me to it! When I moved down her from New England, I thought these were the names of prep schools at first! I think I figured it out when I saw Kiddie Academy, though... another bad name.

These schools offer Spanish, Chinese, Music classes, STEM related activities, etc much more than a daycare. They are schools. You guys sound like parents that sent your kids to a home daycare and are tryin to feel good that they just got playtime all day. Don’t be jealous. You chose not to give your kids more, probably due to finances, and that’s ok. But if you can afford it these schools are schools and really do a good job of using those developmental years to the fullest.
