Worst Daycare Names

Also, I am jealous of all the cute federal daycare names. I think Diplotots is my favorite.

Diplotots is an amazing name.

Yeah, I always associate Train Up a Child with "spare the rod/spoil the child," which makes me imagine a bunch of kids in a church basement being threatened with a switch and praying for the souls of their working mothers-but maybe that just me.

PP quoted above--just spit out my coffee laughing!

Don't forget that in order to get any food or go outside, the children must first recite a proverb from the Bible.

They should have just name the daycare "Jesus Wept."

Omg! That's the place that immediately popped in my head. Over on Georgia Ave, right?
There's also a really dubious looking place on Riggs Rd. Can't remember the name but the place boasts that it's open 23 1/2 hours, 6 days a week on the sign.

That's absolutely critical for parents who work night shifts.

Baby, Toddler and Preschool Land. Vienna.

Sheesh! I'm all for truth in advertising, but that's just an unwieldy name.

A woman in PA owns two daycare centers - All My Children, and Young and the Restless. I actually think they are cute, but I don't see a thread here for that.

I think of something akin to mouse droppings when I hear that. Who names a daycare that??

GAO. It's a play on their mission (writing lots of reports). Lots of government agencies do this (e.g., Little Scholars at the Library of Congress, Just Us Kids at DOJ, etc.)

Inquisitive minds at the NSA.

I HATE the name of chain "La Petite"(which is everywhere). I keep asking myself, La Petite WHAT Academy? or why not, La Petite Academie?

And I have to say that even though this school seems really great and the manager is VERY nice - I don't know why it makes sense to call a SPANISH (not Italian) immersion school BAMBINI.

what about the best and most beautiful names for Daycare,,,ANY IDEA? So I can pick-up one for me

I hate all the cutesy names. (Although the Fed ones *are* giving me a smile, this morning.) I like the ones which are just straightforward and informative: Tysons Corner Children's Center. Short, sweet, to the point. You got location, you got the mission. Done. It also tells me it is run by adults who can a) spell and b) not be too cutesy.
