One thing not mentioned yet is the type of character UChicago appears to truly prioritize. KINDNESS! Kindness and overall integrity play a real role in their decisions.

The admits from our FCPS public high school to UChicago the past few years are widely seen as kind in addition to being very very intelligent.

Just because you are lazy and don’t want to bother checking the CDS doesn’t mean that my statement is not based on facts. The last set of numbers (e.g. 56-21 refers to the percentage of admitted students who submitted SAT/ACT)

If you actually went there, how can you defend what Chicago has become? The end of the old intellectual Chicago, double the enrollment, 30% of students majoring in econ, the debt, the 3 rounds of ED and one round of EA, the lack of transparency, and the “it” school for prestige-consumed students who know they can’t get into another top 20 so they ED to Chicago (as did 80% of its enrolled class each year).

No, there is some doubt. Why don’t you get the info from Chicago so the case is closed? ED numbers especially. Just call them up. I am sure they’ll tell you. Explain that you are tired of “proving” UChicago is a top 10 school in selectivity (instead of 25th) on DCUM.

The test scores I’m talking about ARE from Chicago. It’s on their CDS, as is the case with other schools.

I don’t care about selectivity, because I evaluate schools based on their academic offerings and programming. I know that’s a foreign concept for you, who (like many) have fallen into the online trap of thinking admit rate = school quality. I hope you find a way to climb out at some point.

There was a question about the test scores and how they were “inflated” because of TO policy. The above debunked that argument. Now you are deflecting…not a good look.
