Please don’t make statements that you know are not based on any fact. Whenever a school has a TO policy, the test scores of applicants are higher than that of other top ranked test required schools. Look at any school that was test req and then became TO and you’ll see the scores come down.

For “like the 10th time” (or should I say, for the 25th time, as this more accurately describes Chicago’s selectivity rank), let Chicago share admit data on its current CDS like everyone else. Until they do, they don’t get the benefit of the doubt. The “Chicago-haters” are self-inflicted by Chicago. Point your animus and cause for your wasted breath where it belongs: UChicago.

No, there is some doubt. Why don’t you get the info from Chicago so the case is closed? ED numbers especially. Just call them up. I am sure they’ll tell you. Explain that you are tired of “proving” UChicago is a top 10 school in selectivity (instead of 25th) on DCUM.

The test scores I’m talking about ARE from Chicago. It’s on their CDS, as is the case with other schools.

I don’t care about selectivity, because I evaluate schools based on their academic offerings and programming. I know that’s a foreign concept for you, who (like many) have fallen into the online trap of thinking admit rate = school quality. I hope you find a way to climb out at some point.[/quote]
