Dems will not win the TN-07 house race. Zero chance. That’s ruby red territory

I think the reference is to the typical VA/NJ races that happen the year after the presidential election. Like if Sears wins in VA it would embolden the Rs, whereas if Spanburger wins by double digits, there might be an impact. A Spanburger 6-point win doesn’t move the needle.

You think Sears is going to get the MAGA voters in SW, where there are still sundown towns, to vote for her? Granted, I know she left her image off all her campaign materials but come on.

Same. I can't even get into mine. What a s(%show.

My agency is about 60% upgraded to WIN11. For all the people that were furloughed, they were instructed to leave their computer plugged into the network and it will automatically upgrade.

I’m WCF, my agency has enough to pay me until roughly the 20th, then I am furloughed. My bet is Nov 13.

My DOS outfit is WCF, yet most of us were sent home because mgt. thought that the “appearance” of us working wouldn’t look good.

If Spanburger wins Trump punishes Virginia by punishing feds into 2026.

Sears is going to get the MAGA vote or they stay home. My bet is a few show up and they make all the difference. Go MAGA or stay home.

But yes, the liberals are the problem.

No. The inability of people who purport to be liberal but live in an UMC bubble and have never met people who have struggled financially are the problem.

But their position that federal workers—some of whom make $43,000 per year and work in stressful conditions—should be expected to sacrifice and face layoffs so that a family at 400% of the federal poverty level doesn’t lose subsidies is not morally or politically justifiable.

I think this mischaracterizes the position. If Democrats support the Republican plan, millions of working-class families will be permanently financially harmed. They’re choosing to put some pressure on the system at the cost of several hundred thousand families being (probably) temporarily harmed. This is morally justifiable, and also politically justifiable except to people who don’t see the bigger picture or understand the future.

Yep, this is likely. What a f mess. Who is travelling/vacation?

This is very sad for VA and for all. What is this guy's/family's life expectancy age?

Right. Because it’s all about you. Selfish ass.

Why should anyone not impacted by a government shutdown care?

From who? I don't expect specifics on an anon message board, but is there ANYTHING to what you said or are you just a troll?

Why care about anything then? Let there be anarchy!

That’s not an answer. I care about things that impact me, my family and friends.
