Between Gaza and Iran, has Israel gone too far?

Anonymous
Folks, borders will be redrawn. The partition of India was far bloodier, and the territory, once it was established as India, Pakistan, or Bangladesh (w/ the exception of Kashmir) has not reverted to prior configuration nor has it been further contested.

The two-state solution is dead. Palestine is a fictional country with no Biblical legitimacy and many missed opportunities to choose the path of peace, prosperity and a passport. The Palestinians should have taken the deal in 1947/48 (Partition), 1993 and 1995 (Oslo), 2000 (Camp David), 2007 (Annapolis), or 2020 (Peace to Prosperity) but they didn't.

10/7/23 was the red line, and it's a whole new strategy as far as Israel is concerned.

And to be clear, if any of the Arab nations or Iran really cared about the Palestinians they would have offered resettlement. Not seeing much enthusiasm for that for obvious reasons--they have created chaos, instability and terror wherever they've gone.

The only thing that comes to
Mind is that israel knows that Trump will do whatever they want. They didn’t have unconditional US support before.

Can someone please enlighten me?

No Israel has not gone too far. The timing of the attack on Iran is simple. Negotiations between US and Iran were not progressing so Iran received a sample of what would happen if they don’t fall in line.

Actually, Iran has gone too far by targeting civilians.

Shameless comment.

As it should be.

Israel honestly can’t go much further anywhere. reservists are hurting economically and militarily and reservists are disillusioned and traumatized by their experiences in Gaza. Economically, Israel will only grow weaker the longer it keeps reservists in Gaza. Society is being shredded by this and is starting to continuing to wrestle with the fact that the ultra religious that are voting for these hard line policies are experiencing none of the ill effects. The status quo is unsustainable in the long term. And Netanyahu is corrupt and this has been well known within Israel for decades.

Way too much going on in our own backyard to give a damn about murderous Middle Easterners doing their usual thing.

Don't forget the European colonizers as well as those from Brooklyn like fat Jacob

Iron Dome was never 100% perfect. Israelis died every so often from Hamas rocket attacks.

With that aside, Iron Dome wasn’t built for ballistic missiles. The actual systems in use are David’s Sling and Arrow 2 and 3. No missile defense will be 100% perfect, so several have hit home.

The damage hasn’t been that bad considering how many ballistic missiles have been launched. Three people killed and dozens injured so far. Could be a lot worse.

How many Iranians have been killed?

How will war in Iran help with the partition and ethnic cleansing (what you’re asking for) of Palestine?

If anything, this war will help Palestine and hurt Israel.

Don’t forget 10/7 happened because Netanyahu ignored Hamas for a decade in favor of obsessing over Iran and assassinating their nuclear scientists and engineers

Israel wants to die on the hill that Iran and Hamas are one even though they know that’s not true. Netanyahu ignored Hamas and they grew their military ranks and strategies undeterred from Mossad or Israeli intervention because Israel was too damn focused on Iran

A war in Iran is a gift to Hamas

Netanyahu's reasoning is the same as it was for Iraq. These countries support resistance in Palestine, Syria, Lebanon etc and are an obstacle towards ethnic cleansing of the indigenous population.

Qatar supports resistance in Palestine. Why doesn’t Israel invade the tiny country of Qatar?

They can’t invade the Gulf countries because that would hurt the US economy which hurts their economy

Qatar or do you mean Netanyahu who is funneling money through them supporting Hamas?

Iran and Yemen are the only two countries not subservient to Israel that are left in the middle east. Every other country has has pledged ties and cooperation or has otherwise been taken care of via US/Israel military or covert action

Anonymous wrote:Well, Hamas's invasion of Israel on October 7th presented Israel with an opportunity to completely remake the strategic map in the region. Israel has been systematically destroying all of Iran's proxy forces. First, there was Hamas of course. The entire leadership is now gone and besides terrorizing locals in Gaza, Hamas really can't do much anymore. Hezbollah has mostly been destroyed in Lebanon. The pager and walkie talkie attacks were brilliant and once Nasrallah was killed, it was game over for Hezbollah. The Assad regime has been toppled in Syria and Iran lost a critical ally. Without Assad, Iran can't support Hamas or Hezbollah. And now Israel has established air dominance over Iran itself and is systematically destroying Iran's capacity to project power. I can assure you everyone in Riyadh, Amman, and elsewhere in the Middle East is quietly but enthusiastically supportive of Israel right now. So from a strategic point of view, this has been a very good year for Israel and the predominantly Sunni countries in the Gulf.
