You think so, do you? Anyone can be a brave keyboard warrior. Are you prepared to put action behind your brave words, and cheer on for YOUR children to sign up to go fight over there, because Israel will definitely involve the U.S. |
Trump has signed us up for a long war. What a liar he turned out to be. |
No, instead it's acting rationally and predictably in the face of clearly articulated threats from a regime devoted to its destruction. Iran's proxies, Hamas and Hezbollah, are similarly committed and have been effectively defanged. The Houthis, also Iranian proxies, are largely impotent even if periodically irritating, and have been slapped down as needed. Iran itself is the remaining potentially viable threat to Israel's existence, and its proximity to their acquisition of a nuclear aggression capability makes their neutralization necessary at this time.
Ideally, this will end with a regime change in Iran. Without Iran's financial and material support, their proxies will cease to pose any meaningful threat, and stability for the region may be possible. The other Arab nations in the ME are fine with peaceful co-existence; it's Iran and its proxies which foment religiously-inspired terror and violence. |

I cannot believe that people justify Israel’s action. |
Worst case scenario:
America gets dragged in Gulf nations get dragged in Israel fails to destroy Irans nuclear capability There’s a global economic shock Irans regime falls, leaving a vacuum Israel’s end game, whatever that is, is a gamble |
Calm down. No one is asking your children to get involved. Note that other countries in the ME are not condemning the attack on Iran. You know why? Because they approve. They don’t want Iran to have nuclear weapons either. |
This all started when the Biden/Harris administration returned $6B in frozen Iranian assets. That money funded the Hamas attack on Israel, the Houthi attacks out of Yemen, built the drones provided to the Russians in their war against Ukraine and helped advance Iran’s nuclear program.
Israel is dealing with the existential threat it faces due to its proximity to Iran. They provided a warning with the first attack. Now further action will be dictated by Iran’s response. The world will be a safer place if Iran’s ability to support terror in the Middle East and around the world is eliminated. |
Gaza, Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and many more countries would be a safer place if Israel's ability to support terror in the Middle East and around the world of eliminated. |
That makes you an extremist. |
I am no expert, but I am pretty sure current activities are being coordinated between Israel and the US. |
|
Yes they’ve gone too far. |
I've lost my patience with the entire Middle East. I realize 95% of the people in that region are as peaceful and loving as everyone else in the world. Those people need to rise up and overthrow the IDF, Hamas, Hezbollah, Khamenei, Netanyahu,... all of them! Hang their heads up high for any future tyrant wannabes to see. Otherwise, I'm done caring. They can all kill each other if that's what they prefer. Much of the world is just sick and tired of hearing about their murderous ways. |
Except that the rest of the world directly benefits from those murderous ways. Your take is naive to geopolitics. The only way to truly get the US and China and their respective vassals out of that area — because those states are what is driving a lot of what is going on — is energy independence. And that means extensive drilling in the US. |
