On what planet does a boyfriend pay for that? If she’s a wealthy careerist she can afford it herself.

I've got the Merrell shoes and the hiking gear, but I don't wear that as my default look.

Symbolic? Sweetie, leg hair stubble is disgusting. Seems this thread is full of projecting women with the same issue trying to diminish how gross it is. Sorry your husband and/or lovers are too meek to tell you.

This is so stupid. I’m Mediterranean. My hair, everywhere, grows super fast. Guess what? We have a wonderful invention called laser hair removal. After two or three sessions, my leg hair stopped growing for YEARS. When it wore off, about a decade later, I repeated it. Maybe in the olden days, I would have been upset about my fast growing hair, but nowadays I secretly thank my lucky stars that I’m not one of those slowing growing hair people with three limp hairs on their heads.

The fact that a man would chose to obsess over such a minuscule and easily fixable issue shows that he has severe emotional issues. And if you side with him, you do, too.

There are plenty of women that get men to pay for grooming and beauty treatments.

I think you are the one with issues if you find leg hair stubble "disgusting". Let me guess, you're the type obsessed with movie stars and the Kardashians and influencers.

"Sweetie"? No, it's not disgusting. Sorry your own body disgusts you (or your partners, or both), not all of us have this weird insecurity or hang up.

I knew a guy who broke up with a girl because she ate her peas one at a time.

No more disgusting than stubble on a man's face. Seems to me there is a continuing double standard as to body hair here and that is the most disgusting thing about this thread.

The leg stubble -a ridiculous justification for the break up on its face- is merely the excuse. No sane person breaks up with someone over that unless they have some sort of leg hair phobia. Frankly, the woman deserves better if he's too big of a coward to just give the real reason or to just say "I'm just not that into you."

Even if she lasered or something, he would find something later in life that would be a problem....letting her grays go, middle age weight gain, embracing the laugh lines.... If a guy told me to shave more it would be a big red flag.
