Since last summer he's been dating an amazing woman who is 33, gorgeous, great career, no kids, never married. We have all told him to marry her. So when he told me he was distancing himself from her we were all shocked. And he was evasive about why. Finally he confesses to me her leg hair apparently grows back super fast and it is prickly at night. He said it drives him insane when they sleep in the same bed. As in, it is repulsive. It's been decades since I've dated, but that is not a valid reason to break up with an otherwise amazing person, right? I don't know what to say to talk some sense into him.

Your brother is narcissistic, immature, and misogynistic. You’re not doing her any favors by trying to talk him into staying. Please convince him to break up with her so she can find better.

THIS. This is such an incredibly immature reason to break up with someone. Something tells me your brother is only interested in relationships that make him look good or are transactional. This is the opposite of love.

Sorry, but a woman this amazing isn’t wasting her time dating a divorced Dad of 2. The leg hair is obviously a cover and there is something else wrong with her.

Op just start inviting her out to brunch with your friends obviously you want to be friends with her more than your brother wants to date her

Yes! She can do so much better than a divorced dad with kids.

Yuck. He should definitely dump her.

And, if this is a deal breaker for him he is too shallow to be married.

FYI, if her leg hair is blond, it won't work. If her skin is dark, it might burn. This isn't a given.

For OP's purpoted brother, this is an issue. And he's right to break up with her so she can find a human being that is more aligned with her and her values.

This is true, but also really unlikely. I've never known anyone with blond body hair that is also coarse and fast growing enough for this to be an issue. Fine, slow-growing, generally soft and low maintenance body hair is like the one good trade-off for natural blondes who generally don't get to also have thick, voluminous, super shiny heads of hair that grow long and strong.

Sounds like he’ll be doing her a favor with a breakup

My head hair is auburn, my face hair-brows are black and my underarm and leg hair is black. The hair on my forearms and the sides of my face peach fuzz is blonde.

He doesn’t love her. Stay out of it.

Why doesn't he just buy her laser hair removal?

Agree. If your brother truly loved her, then like hair, would not bother him. As for whatever reason when people have all those hormones and are in love, things that would bother them with another person don't bother them when it's the one you love. And when you don't love someone, even the most innocuous thing can be an excuse to break up. If he loved her he would ask her to shave, and she would more than likely shave. So that's just an excuse.if it wasn't the leg here, it would be something else. He's smart to just let her go and keep looking.

Very much true
