It’s warm out. No rush. |
I own property in Europe and split my time between us and Europe. The trends I’m talking about are not just recent. I feel like I have a good grasp on how Asian, American, even Latin American (except for Argentina) economies work. I don’t get how European ones do tho. |
Do you know Europeans well enough to ask them what percentage of their salary is going to energy? Didn’t think so or you wouldn’t be so damn flippant |
How much? |
My family spent 900 euros a month for heat last winter just on tension run up- in a country with an avg salary of 1200 euros. This winter heating their home will exceed the average salary. Plus electric plus fuel plus inflation run up. |
If something doesn’t give we’ll have a new government lining up with Orban position. Wait for it |
Yep. Orban is gross, and I particularly don’t care for Magyars and other assorted Central European people. But he’s right on the Russia v USA thing being just another great power completion thing that is based on energy, market access and geostrategic interests and Europeans are caught with their pants down. Hungarians should be kicked out of eu and the us needs to refocus a core eu around France, west Germany, Spain, Portugal, Benelux, Denmark, Norway, Sweden. EU27 has fundementally different interests. |
| Better pretend everything fine in Europe. Keep sending money until wheels fall off. Like Afghanistan. |
In the meantime, DHS is concerned about white nationalists returning from the war in Ukraine and bringing nasty tricks they've learned from Azov & Co. home with them. But let's pretend that part is fine too. "What kind of training are foreign fighters receiving in Ukraine that they can possibly proliferate in US militias and white nationalist groups?" https://propertyofthepeople.org/document-detail/?doc-id=22022879 |
| I'm in the UK now. The news is primarily focusing on the projected increase in energy costs. It's sad to watch-there's a lot of concern about it. And, yes, it's warm right now, but I can tell fall is in the air. The heating bills will come shortly. |
They can learm those tricks in the U.S. miltary, too. Does that mean we should stop funding national defense? |
You’re so right. There is no difference whatsoever between the US army and terror training camps. Somebody tell DHS to stop watching for the ISIS graduates. |
Are you saying the Ukraine military are terrorists? |
It's not for me to say, is it? "Terrorist" is a label states apply based on their own political needs and rules. It has no set definition. So ask DHS why they are concerned. |
The FBI now thinks the Gadsden flag is a terror symbol so basically anything right of center is terror |
