Sidwell or St. Albans

If OP liked Gonzaga boys, I would say she should choose STA over Sidwell. Gonzaga is more like STA than it is like Sidwell.

ABL anywhere but Landon.

06/10/2010 09:04 (two posts later) "STA"

06/13/2010 20:17 "Wow, easy. Sidwell Friends."
[no StA response]

Are you implying a sock puppet? Or is it the law of averages? (i.e., both are considered great schools)

I like Georgetown Prep
Landon for sure
No question Episcopal
Easy, St. Alban's
Sidwell without a doubt
We had the choice to send him anywhere, and we chose Bullis
Maret for sure
We had the choice to send him anywhere, and we chose GDS
Well, we had the choice to send him anywhere (and I MEAN ANYWHERE) and we chose to send him to St. Stephens
Georgetown Prep
Definitely STA
Landon all the way
Gonzaga

These types of topX threads are so lame.

I think it's that for boys STA and Sidwell are the top two schools.

Well yes, but it's Sidwell then STA
Anonymous
STA, then if all else fails, Sidwell.

STA, but only after I told everybody he was also accepted to Sidwell.

Are you implying a sock puppet? Or is it the law of averages? (i.e., both are considered great schools) ....

No, I don't think it's really a sock puppet. But it sure seems like there's a StA supporter out there that considers it her duty to counter every Sidwell mention with a plug for StA. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but 4 out of 5 seems like a pattern. Maybe one person with a son at StA is feeling just a little insecure and needs to do a little boosting. Or maybe someone is just trying to pick a fight to distract from other issues. I don't really know, but I found the pattern odd.

Just to be clear, I don't know or care which of those schools some people think is better. From where I sit, both seem pretty good.

If it's one Sidwell supporter, she sure needs to let people know how "easy" the choice would be.

If I had my druthers, I'd go with Sidwell. I prefer an academically rigorous, co-ed atmosphere that incorporates religion. I also like the that is just liberal enough for my DS to explore who he is really meant to be.

Ha! That was hilarious. Washington Latin for Middle School. A nice school for boys, including smart boys, to find their 'voice'. The kids, both boys and girls, all seem to be developing that 'core'.
