If you could send your son anywhere for school

Studies show that there are huge differences between boys and girls in the math and science areas. Differences in learning styles and also self-esteem issues. Thus the teaching to each group in those areas.

Are you suggesting performance differences?

I think it is more the spatial relationship / verbal learning style issue.

I think learning differences between boys and girls are just as significant in the language arts such as English and foreign languages. The same rationale that supports single-sex math and science classes apply to language-arts classes.

My son is has been at Landon now for 2 years and he and loves it. He plays football and baseball. He is also in his 2nd year of handbells and has found a passion for music. I find that most teachers really try and get to know the boys outside the classroom whether its on the playing field or in one of the many school clubs the school has to offer.

Despite what everyone is reading in the news or gossiping about on this website, Landon is a wonderful institution. Just because a few bad kids make some terrible decisions, doesn't mean all the boys who roam the halls are monsters.

No, but if the other kids don't speak up and try to rout out the problem kids (or are intimidated into silence) then they are part of the problem.

Oh My God you guys are a bunch of sanctimonious haters.
Give me a break. Go take a walk around the block and get off DCUM. It's keeping you from being part of the solution.

I just noticed something funny about this thread. Maybe it's my imagination, or maybe just a coincidence, but there seems to be a subtle pattern here.
