In contrast, contrary to DOJ and FBI policy, the fact that the FBI was investigating Hillary's emails was public knowledge pre-election and officially confirmed by, guess who, the FBI Director himself. I'd love to hear how finding out that Sussmann was taking similar claims to the OIG in the same time period, and openly disclosing his client, somehow helps Durham's case that Sussmann lied to Baker about whether he was representing a client.

Lets see. Perkins was a well known law firm that regularly represented Democrat Party and Democratic candidates. And Sussman was a partner in that firm's DC office. The idea that Baker had no idea that Sussman might have had Democratic ties is silly on the face. And further the idea that the FBI does not second guess every tip that comes in the door is even more absurd. I hope the FBI hears all sorts of grap, and it then tries to figure out what is really grap and what is not. And now we know another part of the FBI had explicit knowledge of the connection. So, Sussman is to blame because the FBI GC and the FBI IG did not talk to each other.
