Actually, her campaign did not use the dossier because they did not believe much of it was credible. And the MSM did not publish it pre-election for the same reason. And, btw, Orange Man's fellow Republicans initiated the GPS research into Orange Man's ties to Russia. And she certainly had nothing to do with the FBI's investigation into the Orange One.

They knew it wasn't credible. They knew it was BS.
But, that didn't stop them from taking it to the FBI as a "credible" document in order to start a false investigation.

DP. This. The whole thing was created to get revenge for Hillary being under investigation by the FBI for her emails. If Trump was ALSO under investigation, days before the election, then that would hurt him at the election...enough for Hillary to squeak by with a victory.

Nobody found out that Trump was also under investigation, though.

Special Counsel John Durham is alleging the Justice Department’s internal watchdog has held back information relevant to Durham’s probe into the origins of the FBI’s Trump-Russia investigation.

In a court filing last week that updated the discovery process and requested more time to produce materials in the case of Democratic lawyer Michael Sussmann, Durham claimed that the DOJ’s Office of the Inspector General (OIG) had not informed him that Inspector General Michael Horowitz met with Sussmann in March 2017.

The documents said Durham was informed of the meeting Jan. 20 by Sussmann’s defense team and had it confirmed by Horowitz’s office the following day.

“The OIG had not previously informed the Special Counsel’s Office of this meeting with the defendant,” reads the filing, which notes that Sussmann and Horowitz met to discuss claims by a client of Sussmann’s that an OIG employee was connecting their computer to a virtual private network in a foreign country.

That's certainly an interesting angle. Most people would say that Durham admitted he's been conducting a crappy ragtag investigation by failing to reach out to other parts of DOJ.

I'd love to hear how finding out that Sussmann was taking similar claims to the OIG in the same time period, and openly disclosing his client, somehow helps Durham's case that Sussmann lied to Baker about whether he was representing a client.
