How long will the shutdown last?

Can a wall supporter please answer this? What’s a non-political answer why this only became a crisis after Ds took hold of part of Congress?

I think the massive caravans heading north this fall was the tipping point.

Then the rest of the government remains closed until Democrats agree to approve the remaining $3 billion.

"Non-essential" government workers: I'd stsrt looking for a new job if I were you. This could be a while. I just checked Indeed, com and there are tons of openings.

Idiot.

One could argue its also a great way to destroy the government, just as the Rs have always wanted.
GOP thinking:
Our National parks were ruined in the shutdown- hey let’s close them for good and sell off to drill!
Border control weren’t paid b/c fed employees - hey, let’s privatize with Eric Prince!
Federal Courts closed — ding ding!

I could go on. This isn’t just for a fight. There is a plan. Ruin the IS and sell off our assets and privatize the crap out of everything.

Thanks for providing a response. I think it was pretty clear that was a hyped up crisis for political gain.

+1

And there’s also a risk that whatever jobs can’t be privatized, they would replace the current feds who quit because of the furlough with Trump supporters.

Because the republicans don't think a wall is a good idea either. Now they are truly cowards, hiding behind the dems to block the wall b/c they don't have the courage to do it outright themselves.

There's another one? They're probably trying to get to California for the free health care. Nice incentives the liberal governors and mayors (like NYC) are throwing out: break our immigration laws and our citizens will provide you with free health care.

In the meantime, our own ctizens are struggling with $1000 premiums.

Anyone else find that the news media (depending on your stripes) is reporting this shutdown differently? Obviously the false crisis being reported by the left isn't working. Meanwhile in Texas alone last year 32 people died at the hands of "undocumented workers" - that is the real crisis while the "manufactured" crisis of the shutdown continues.

DP. Who has the energy to debunk every Trump idiot out there spreading lies and hate? Ain’t no one got time for that. Wasted effort anyway. Once a deplorable, always a deplorable.
