I want to see any witness who didn't call a school staff person or 911 arrested for neglecting to bring aid to a seriously wounded individual.

They are the lowest of the low, indeed!

Police chief says the witnesses are not his problem. He's leaving them to MCPS to deal with. That's what he said.

They clearly lacked good judgement but these things have to be taught. If their parents, friends and teachers respond to everything by going on social media its all they know. Not saying its a good excuse or a valid excuse but this is why schools need more staff monitoring the halls and bathrooms.

And since it's clear that some parents are morally corrupt people who don't teach their kids to report violence on another human, then it's high time that schools demand it and those who don't adhere to that should be punished.

Dad was holding the hand of another woman, gfriend? Mom? He got in some obscene gestures too.

If the kid ordered the gun online and a friend helped him assemble it and the confrontation in the bathroom was planned, this was no heat of the moment thing. Plus he may have posted about it on social media. He needs to go away for a long time.

How did he order it? Does he have a job? A credit card?

Right. Like expelled. Not stuffed over to another unsuspecting school.

He needs to go too
The judges in this county need to go too
The superintendent needs to go
Jawando and friends need to go.

This needs to stop here.

Yes.

You mean the same parents who are against SRO's, masking in schools and other basic safety precautions. You cannot expect kids to behave responsibly when their parents, and other adults in their life don't live by example.

Get your kid out of that school asap.

And it makes you wonder what civil and criminal liability his parents should face

Teachers and admin don’t usually have this knowledge. When they pulled the SRO’s didn’t really replace it with any of the functions/skills that the SRO’s brought with them.

It looks like the shooters father has a record. I'd be shocked if the mother doesn't too considering her lack of self control and decorum
.

Yes, I wondered about this. The public defender had the nerve to request that the teen be placed on 24 security monitoring in his mother's home
Clearly dear old Dad was not an option. That's what a record will do for you.
So sad. Some of these kids never have a chance.

The parents probably requested that.

I heard people giving the principal accolades. There is clearly gang activity going on in Magruder that he either knew nothing about or made no attempt to control. He should be removed immediately.

These kids are no different than society in general. It is a common complaint that people just walk by and don’t want to get involved or speak with authorities even when a victim is in great danger.

The kid grew up in a pretty terrible home if the two adults were behaving that way.
