I would not assume it's accidental.

Sounds like students are safe? My phone was charging and when I went to grab it I saw texts from my kids; my DD was terrified but my DS said a suspect has been arrested (not sure if that’s factual or rumor) and they are safe. My hands are shaking, ugh.

It might have been accidental but it apparently wasn’t self-inflicted.

That’s pretty heavy stuff for you and your kids to deal with. Glad everyone is safe.

Email from the school describes it as a “student Heath situation.” Says there is no threat to students or staff.

Shot in the foot is very different from critically injured.

Wrong and incorrect.

Not the one that is a trauma.

Terrifying. Definitely more scared of this stuff than Covid.

My 8th grader applied to the Aviation program there. Ugh.

There’s just been too many excuses and too much “bad luck” this school year in MCPS. McKnight has proven incapable of keeping our kids safe from COVID or violence.

I feel bad for all these kids who have had to live through this pandemic and now have this trauma on top of it. I hope that MCPS is able to at least provide counseling, if it’s capable of doing anything but I’m not holding out hope.

I’m just absolutely done with the this school system.
