It is not a FOIA. It was a county council worksession that went through all the data. It’s all public information. https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/council/Resources/Files/agenda/cm/2022/20220209/20220209_ECPS1.pdf |

| How do the stats vary from when RPOs were in the schools? |
11 were actually arrests so the others were useless calls? |
Depends if he can show he knew he was getting jumped and the school didn’t protect him. |
It's illegal to have a firearm in a school. Let's start there. |
Something like 2/3 of the calls resulted in reports being written. That means that there was sufficient reason to document the incident but not necessarily enough probably cause to arrest. Some of those reports likely go on for further investigation. Some will be found to be unwarranted. Some might be handled by schools instead. Some may result in arrests. |
The weapons offenses alone that have been admitted to are exceptionally concerning. Possession by minor. Ghost gun. School zone. |
+1 this and the sexual assaults are concering. |

Thanks for sharing... wonder what was the motive??
Hope the kid recovers soon. |
| Really disappointed that the report does little to attempt to prevent other shootings and spends more time worrying about what to do when they happen. I feel like we've just given up, as a society. |
The report is very clear that the VICTIM is always responsible to immediately making ID of perpetrator and showing police where perpetrator is hiding. It's all on the victim. If they don't handle it appropriately, no one else is responsible for anything. |
