I want to see any witness who didn't call a school staff person or 911 arrested for neglecting to bring aid to a seriously wounded individual.

They are the lowest of the low, indeed!

Police chief says the witnesses are not his problem. He's leaving them to MCPS to deal with. That's what he said.

They clearly lacked good judgement but these things have to be taught. If their parents, friends and teachers respond to everything by going on social media its all they know. Not saying its a good excuse or a valid excuse but this is why schools need more staff monitoring the halls and bathrooms.

And since it's clear that some parents are morally corrupt people who don't teach their kids to report violence on another human, then it's high time that schools demand it and those who don't adhere to that should be punished.

These kids are no different than society in general. It is a common complaint that people just walk by and don’t want to get involved or speak with authorities even when a victim is in great danger.

And this is why it needs to change.

Dad was holding the hand of another woman, gfriend? Mom? He got in some obscene gestures too.

If the kid ordered the gun online and a friend helped him assemble it and the confrontation in the bathroom was planned, this was no heat of the moment thing. Plus he may have posted about it on social media. He needs to go away for a long time.

The kid grew up in a pretty terrible home if the two adults were behaving that way.

Enough, Sally Jesse Raphael. For 30 years we have been giving hugs to the perpetrators and making them out as victims. Not only has it not helped but crime has increased and kids have become more violent.

I don't give a damn what the attempted murderers home life has been like.
Lock him up.

You mean GANG

I heard people giving the principal accolades. There is clearly gang activity going on in Magruder that he either knew nothing about or made no attempt to control. He should be removed immediately.

Especially if it takes him 4 hours to figure out how to dismiss students.

But in the actually classy column is Stephanie Ramirez posting that the family declined to talk to reporters.

Oh Kevin Lewis, I guess they are not white and are not Hispanic.

I’m not sure that I understand your point? They came through the door giving reporters the finger. When asked for comment said “mind your own f$@&ing business b$/@h”. Are we supposed to instead pretend that something else happened?

I didn’t click the link. Kevin only reports on Hispanic and black crime. So I didn’t need to click the link, the facts it’s KL says so much.

Stephanie Ramirez reported the exact same thing. but to your comment, are you suggesting that he shouldn’t have covered this shooting, which even the today show featured? Is anything that he reported in this case not factual? I don’t understand your comment.

I’m saying if the shooter was white he would not have covered it and yes he should cover all crime.

Yous stupid.

Reports among the community are that in the past 5-6 years gang activity at Magruder has become a significant issue.

Are you kidding? He practically stalked the Damascus football coaches.

Exactly. He was dogged about it.

And to be clear, they were white?

What, if anything, has the school or county done?

You don’t know their names or race because he only reported on the students. He never named the coaches or did 1 report on them.

We're victim blaming now? You're disgusting. The victim didn't bring a deadly weapon to school with the intent to kill. No one deserves to die and no one has the right to decide they do. Grow up.

Oh, $130anhour. You are so new. You weren't working for MCPS when Kevin Lewis reported and named and showed pictures of the coaches. See the coaches got sued. They were all named. And the case was covered. Try google next time.

This. Enough of making the criminals into victims.

That would be the police chief you are talking to. Watch today's presser.
