Scary stuff.

Delightful.

Very scary. A few weeks ago, Wheaton student found with a gun in his backpack. Thank goodness they caught it.

I'm more scared of my kid getting shot than getting covid (which he already did and was fine).

Jesus. This is horrible. What is happening to MCPS?

Just speculating here but I would presume it’s not an active shooter situation because the kid accidentally shot himself?

maybe.. still scary. Could've accidentally shot someone else, or was planning to shoot someone but when off in the bathroom.

Kids bringing guns to school is not an MCPS problem. Its a USA problem.

Shot in the foot is very different from critically injured.

Oh, that's so sad!

Magruder has the ESESES program. Not saying that's where this occurred, but it is one of the most restrictive MCPS placements for kids with MH issues.

I would not assume it's accidental.

I’m sure it hurt really bad. Doesn’t matter where the kid was shot though. The discharge of a weapon at school with a bullet striking a kid anywhere is just horrible. Even if it was an accidental discharge and most “shot in the foot” situations are likely due to accidental discharge.
