Magruder HS Shooting

I feel bad for all these kids who have had to live through this pandemic and now have this trauma on top of it. I hope that MCPS is able to at least provide counseling, if it’s capable of doing anything but I’m not holding out hope.

I’m just absolutely done with the this school system.

More “bad luck”, this happens the same day that they had to close Damascus HS because the heating doesn’t work.

Honestly I'm glad we left MCPS -- there has been so much bad stuff happening this year. Or was it always like this and I just didn't know.

It’s been trending worse but as these things go, first it’s just cracks and the decline is slow but then the whole thing just goes at once.

Eventually more of the trash from MCPS will end up in the privates and they go down as well.

I'm in the building now. Kids are kind of excited by the drama. Everyone is ok.
We didn't hear or see or hear about anything until the news started reporting things.

As I suspected: private schools parents gloating about a kid got shot in MCPS
It cannot get any lower than that.

As PP above - we didn't leave for private - we moved out of state. Of course I hope you weren't insinuating that we were trash that left MCPS?

Quit your racist drivel. This is NOT McKnight’s fault.

MCPS has been broken for years. Before McKnight came to be in charge.

Criticism of McKnight by a POC = racism is probably not a hill you want to die on.

How long has McKnight worked in leadership positions in MCPS? She’s been here for years and this broken institution sits directly at her feet.

PP from above - we left MCPS because we moved out of state. No gloating here - I have many friends whose kids are in MCPS

Scanner said he was shot in the pelvic region, no exit wound. In and out of consciousness in ambulance to suburban. 15 year old boy and guessing it was gang related.
