Me too. But I’m also concerned about all the little girls in various states who will not get the abortions their little bodies need. I can’t even imagine the damage that happens to a small body forced to give birth. These forced birther freaks think this is blessed by God. The misogyny is unreal.

I think if we come down hard on the rapists and those that cover for them, little girls won’t get pregnant

First of all that's not how crime works. Punishment deters some crime but certainly not all of it. Otherwise, after the first execution, there would be no murder, right?

Second of all, sure, yeah, any day now we'll get right on taking rape more seriously as a crime. Any any day now. https://www.endthebacklog.org/what-is-the-backlog/

Who do you forced birthers think you’re kidding. Some of you guys have practically been blaming the little girl for being seductive and we can hear you baying to ask what she was wearing. You don’t take rape seriously. Look at the way the women in the military get assaulted twice - once when they’re assaulted and once when they’re failed by the military in taking it seriously.

If you want more women’s empowerment and less rape, then the key is… more women’s empowerment, not slavery. I can’t believe this isn’t apparent.

Anything to distract from the hows and whys of this child’s predicament.

No. Her predicament is abhorrent. The perpetrator should absolutely be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The situation that resulted in her being subjected to this horrible act should be investigated. And she shouldn't have had to leave the state to receive appropriate medical care.

We can care about both issues, you know. They aren't mutually exclusive.

Seriously with this? Shut up. Seriously shut your ignore jaws.

Women’s bodies aren’t respected. Ever. You want to see how seriously rape is taken by the police? https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2022/08/02/rape-kit-evidence-destruction-police/ Since forced birthers are unwilling to read here’s the gist: a woman was raped at knifepoint by a stranger in Vienna VA in 1995. The police thought she was lying and destroyed all the evidence. They did this for dozens of rapes (perhaps more; they only looked at one year’s worth). Destroying rape kits happened all across the country.

The article doesn’t even address the thousands of unprocessed rape kits mouldering away on storage shelves.

It doesn’t address the fact that the default among Republicans is to blame the victim and ask what she’s wearing.

It doesn’t address the fact that Donald Trump, a credibly accused rapist, was allowed to install a credibly accused attempted rapist on the Court and it has since come to light that the FBI did zero investigating of any of the tips. Might Kavanaugh be an actual rapist? We know that Clarence Thomas is certainly on the continuum of men who don’t respect women.

It doesn’t address the fact that sexual violence, pedophilia and domestic violence have become accepted within the GOP. Don’t believe me? Go read either of the two mega threads about GOP corruption. Or follow the links in this article: https://thedailyedge.substack.com/p/700-and-counting

And it still doesn’t change the fact that when this horrible story came to light, you all pretended it wasn’t real. You don’t take this seriously at all, you’re all transparently giddy about literal children being forced to bear their rapist’s child. No one believes you care about this child or child rape or pedophilia or anything else. You just want to control female bodies.

Current Iowa governor and candidate for governor Kim Reynolds thinks pregnant children should be forced to give birth. https://iowastartingline.com/2022/10/17/reynolds-at-debate-pregnant-3rd-grader-must-give-birth/ Iowa already has a six week ban on safe, legal abortion, making abortion functionally illegal in that state, which means that there are already a number of pregnant children who have either had to travel to a different state or are carrying a pregnancy that has a very chance of killing them.

Vote these monsters out.

Republicans can’t acknowledge any middle ground between the imaginary woman who decides on a whim to have an abortion at 39 1/2 weeks, and a real 10 year old being forced to birth her rapist’s baby.

Republicans seem not to care what kind of death sentence (if she bleeds out) or life sentence (if she has to live with a lifelong injury or if they have to remove the 9 year old’s uterus, meaning she’d never get to experience real parenthood as an adult, or if she develops a brain injury from lack of blood or or or…) they’re putting on a child. For being a victim of rape.

“ An Indiana doctor being investigated by the state attorney general after she provided abortion services to a 10-year-old Ohio girl has sued the official, alleging his office used illegitimate consumer complaints to seek patient records and pursue the probe.

Attorneys for Dr. Caitlin Bernard and her medical partner filed the suit Thursday in Indiana’s Marion County, asking a court to prevent Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita from using those complaints to continue the investigation.”

My god, those forced birthers won’t rest until they’ve hunted all these women and girls down. Gilead is synonymous with GOP.

All of us should be worried whenever the government seeks out our patient records. Medical records are private unless the patient allows the records to be made public.

What is she afraid of?

That they’re accessing these private medical records in order to see who else had an abortion so they can turn those patients’ lives upside down.
