| Is this a giant breed? A lot of exercise at a young age with a giant breed can be harmful. Ask your vet for advice here. |
A smart daycare! She’s already a 65lb aggressive HYPERACTIVE puppy who needs to be taught manners by adult dogs. They put her in her place real quick and she started behaving appropriately. Especially by the pit bull she tried pouncing on. She could easily injure other puppies that were not her size. Btw the person in charge told me she is highly active even for a puppy and that hopefully she will settle down once she gets spayed next month. I wouldn’t be surprised if this doggie daycare tells me she is no longer welcome because she’s too much. Figures my DH would get a hyperactive dog! I knew she was a lot more hyper than the average dog because I’ve never seen dog act like this before. Guarantee this is why her original owner gave her up after just a few weeks! This was the last type of dog my DH needed for his lifestyle.

| Trade you |
Getting spayed will do nothing for her activity level. And since its major surgery you have to figure out how to keep her calm for at least a week. |
On day one of a solution you're already focusing on all the negatives about your puppy and the daycare. The thing you most need to do to help your dog is shift your attitude about it. |

While it's nice that your DH apologized, that's empty without any actions to back it up. I can't believe you are keeping this dog that he refuses to properly care for. Why should you be driving it to daycare? I would be massively resentful of the life disruption and expense he foisted on me with zero discussion. The dog gets re-homed unless he's going to actually take on the bulk of the care and you both should be going to marriage counseling.

Be prepared for a large, untrained, and fear aggressive dog that will eventually end up hurting someone and being euthanized. That’s the road she’s on with you. Puppies are puppies, even large ones. They should not be left to fend for themselves or be ‘put in their place’ by unknown, adult dogs. And you’re trolling is making mistakes. First you say you dropped her off and can’t wait to see what she’s like, then you say the employee there says she’s more hyper than other dogs. They figured that out at drop off? Please make up a new story to post, this one is getting tired. |
When I picked her up she said she was extremely active. More so than the average puppy. This is a top notch facility with ONLY pure breed dogs I noticed too. They have great reviews and not one review as far as dogs getting injured fighting. They do not allow males that are not neutered either. I guess you’ve never see The Dog Whisperer with Caesar!?? His training boarding facility was all about throwing unruly dogs into packs of trained dogs. Remember?

I’m only doing it because it’s LITERALLY 2 minutes from my house and I don’t work and I’m also trying to make a point that this dog needs exercise to make her bearable at home. They even have a pickup/drop off service if needed. Money is a non issue for us btw. Trust me I’ve gone the full circle of resentment and anger towards my DH but my mom reminded me that my own father pulled the same crap with her numerous times and she just dealt with it. Married 60 yrs and other than that my dad was a great husband. On the bright side I know 100% he will never do this again! |
Money is an object for me .Can you recommend board and train facialities? |
If you live in Montgomery county Maryland, there is a place on East Gude in Rockville that board and train your dog. Drop your dog off in the morning, dog stays there all day, pick the dog up in the evening. I looked into this before I got my dog. I have a miniature poodle who was extremely easy to train so I did not end up using that service. I do not recall the price |
Ugh, I remember you. You don't work and you do nothing all day long, and yet this dog was interrupting your relaxing time, so you kept this poor animal crated up for 14 hours straight every single night with no access to food, water or being taken out. I don't feel badly for you, it's the puppy I feel badly for. |
Dogs are not people. She earned the right not laze around all day and not take care of an animal she didn’t want. But I’d grow a pair and return the dog. |
Please identify this doggy daycare that only provides care for purebred dogs? |
That’s like asking why are there mostly rich white kids at Harvard!?! |
