| I hope you think about a marriage counselor or therapist for yourself. Im sorry to be rude, and I know this board can be mean spirited so I hate to contribute to that, but aside from your dog issues, you have major relationship problems. Loving spouses don’t do what your DH did. And then make things worse at every turn. You don’t deserve this. |
| Op here. I agree that she needs to be boarded and trained! My DH does not agree because he thinks he knows all about dogs and she will “settle down “. No one can tell him what to do if you know what I mean. And besides dogs are very smart and they know who they can misbehave around. I think it would be a waste of money because as soon as she comes back she will go back to the way she was around my DH. You have to be consistent with the same training and he will not do that. It’s funny because when I come home she immediately stops a lot of her bad behavior. The only time she’s been destructive has been in his supervision. I have asked my DH how in the hell did she do this? Were you in a coma or something!?! Lalaland. I think to myself thank god you don’t have small children. Geez |
Jumps up to counters I mean. |
| Blue ridge canine training. |

I feel like no suggestions will help OP because this is not a dog problem but a DH problem and she doesn’t want to solve the DH problem. From her posts, I have a very distinct impression of her as a very rich SAHW who doesn’t really respect her husband and he doesn’t really respect her but they both think that’s fine because that’s not what they are looking for from the relationship. I’m sorry if that’s totally off base.
oP, to save the dog from this dysfunction, I think you should bring him to a breed rescue, then tell your husband he got out the gate and you couldn’t find him. I don’t normally condone that sort of lie, but it really seems the lesser of two evils here. Good luck. |
I agree 100%. The only issue is her H getting another dog. |
This is still going on? At this point, OP, it's on you. This belongs in the relationship forum. |
