Is this a real question?

I've definitely seen people running in cargos, although I would never do it myself. Hell, I've seen dudes on the trail jogging in jeans. Ick.

Where did Ahmaud Arbery reside in relation to where this shooting occurred? Social media is full of people claiming this is an isolated neighborhood 10 to 15 miles from his house?

Standby to be called a racist for even asking this, and then watch your post be deleted soon.

Why the eyeroll?

I question why a lot of people wear various things when running, but they still do it. It doesn't mean they're up to anything nefarious. How long have you been running, and how often? You've never seen people run in things different than you? Some people run in what they have - they can't all afford activity specific things.

OK I'll bite. In what world would where the victims resided justify the actions of the murderers?

I know marathon runners who train every day at locations very far from their homes. They even have social media accounts documenting their routes.

Not to mention the fact that a good runner can easily do an 8-10 mile route without trouble.

What are you trying to say?

Is it illegal to drive to a nicer neighborhood for exercise? Or only illegal if you’re black?

Who the F cares? People who are distance runners -and I know many of them and used to be one- easily run 10-15 miles on a weekend. Esp. if preparing for a race.

This is a dumb F'ing question.

Again even if he did break into that home, why would it matter? Best case scenario in your mind this guy broke into a construction site, stole something (what?) and these men decided to take it on themselves to go after him with guns and murder him. Is that the vigilante justice world you think we should be living in?

I wasn't even a "good runner" but I routinely ran 5-10 miles on one day in my prime running years. Besides, unless it was a gated community, I am allowed to run through any neighborhood I want. I can even have my DH drive me out 30 miles and drop me somewhere to run if I see so fit. To the dummy who asked the question: where he resided in relation to the run is IRRELEVANT.

Unless they WITNESSED him do something like this or KNEW IN THE MOMENT he did, they had zero reason to stop him. And as he was unarmed, use of deadly force was entirely unjustified. They racially profiled and murdered him. End of story.

Exactly! I regularly drive to my old neighborhood to run because I like the route. I know you think/claim you are being “open-minded” or “waiting for the facts” , echo chamber pp, but the fact is these questions do not get asked about white people like they do about black people.

My neighborhood is 3 miles and surrounded by unsafe roads so I would drive to other places to run 1) because you should never run the same route over and over 2) it was more interesting to run in different locations

What, in your mind, would make this “political “?
