I agree. I know that video evidence has been so important in bringing perpetrators of hate crimes to justice, but I can’t imagine how horrendous it is for these families to have their loved ones last moments out there in the world like that. To be than man’s mother—unbearable.

+1 And he was still alive when the beat cops showed up and were more concerned about the perps getting blood on them than rendering aid to the dying man in the street.

I mean, what were these horrible people thinking while they ran a boy down and killed him?!! Did they think at all?

They didn't think they were going to kill him. They thought they were detaining a theif.

That’s not what the jury found.

And? They f**ked around and found out. Carry a deadly weapon into a crime and someone dies - everyone gets charged with felony murder.

+1. They saw a Black man in their neighborhood and treated him as subhuman. The judge got this right.

I feel a little bad for the Roddie guy. He's just a dumb schlub who was changing a lightbulb or whatever, sees his neighbors go tearing down the road, has no idea what's happening, and joined the chase. I bet he wishes he'd stayed home now! But then if he did, the other guys might have gotten off.

So in terms of the civil case--I don't know Roddie's marital status, but can the wives lose their homes, savings etc over this? I have no idea how this works.

And what's the federal trial about?

IDK but if more people were convicted of felony murder as bystanders earlier maybe lynching mobs wouldn't have existed for 100 years.

+1 I think Roddie was the one who released the video, perversely thinking that it exonerated them. Dumb schlub indeed and my god, the privilege. But I believe the judge that he actually showed remorse.

RE the federal case - the family rejected a plea and it’s going to trial in a month. https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/ahmaud-arbery-killing-federal-hate-crime-charges-plea-deal-rejected/

Rhoddie might have been stupid but he brought his gun, just as the other two. He is heard cocking it on the video. Vile people.

THIS THIS! Everyone treated him as subhuman. You can hear him gasping for breath. Even if you aren’t an EMT - a normal person would go and try to put pressure on the wounds or at the least try to hold his hand and reassure and comfort him. Just speaks to the depravity of everyone down there. As a mother to have your child is bad enough but to know that the police left him there alone in the street dying would tear at my soul. Where is the humanity?

If it's joint property, yes.

I think someone in law enforcement that didn't like the cover up, released/leaked the video.

BS. First, HE ISN'T A THEIF. He never took anything. The McInbreds claim of crime in their neighborhood was a lie the perpetuated so they could be bad ass vigilantes.

They wanted violence. Why did they never tell him they were trying to detain him? They wanted exactly what happened.

Wasn't there evidence that your boy Roddie hit Aubrey with his truck? Didn't he join in the chase? Didn't he upload the video so he could brag about what they did?

Sorry, not sorry.
