Jogger Chased and Shot

Geez. This is horrible. They should've just called the police if they thought a crime was being committed. No need to take matters into your own hands.

People like that father-and-son duo have been waiting to take matters into their own hands their whole lives. I hope the thrill of hunting down an unarmed man is enough to last them a lifetime in prison.

Don’t worry, they will convince millions of white American rightwing men that they were the “real” victims.

Weary of rednecks rednecking...and protected. I hope their arrest leads to a proper conviction, and sentencing that is not a joke.

I've said it once and I'll say it again... a Muslim sat next to me on an airplane doesn't scare me. A black guy walking down the sidewalk toward me at night while we are both alone doesn't scare me. White armed rednecks are terrifying!

I have too many white redneck relatives with guns who have NO business owning guns.

Thugs mad they got caught. I hope the ex-cop is put in general population.

why this is not in the politics forum?

These two guys armed themselves and brought a third guy to make a video of the hunting which killed an innocent man. Nothing is worse than this.

But I think they will set free because Georgia is such a lovely place.

Bingo.

There’s a Christians Against Google group on FB soliciting support for these poor unfairly accused men.

What does this have to do with politics

Wow! The Daily Mail is reporting that the older perp had previously investigated Mr. Arbery.

I'm already seeing social media posts on the articles saying "but that guy was no angel! He had a criminal past!"

Clearly that means he deserved to die.

Even under Georgia's foolish "citizen's arrest law", this doesn't pass the sniff test. The law permits an arrest make “if the offense is committed in his presence or within his immediate knowledge.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2020/05/07/killing-ahmaud-arbery-shows-dangerous-failings-citizens-arrest-laws/

This is a higher standard than probable cause.

The only way they get out of this is some EXTRAORDINARY piece of evidence we don't already know. OR the local authorities have so poisoned the jury pool that neutrality is unlikely (again, citing to the article above).

This is not political.

Two scumbag assholes murdered an innocent man who was jogging down the street. Please tell me what part of this is political.
