I know marathon runners who train every day at locations very far from their homes. They even have social media accounts documenting their routes.

I wasn't even a "good runner" but I routinely ran 5-10 miles on one day in my prime running years. Besides, unless it was a gated community, I am allowed to run through any neighborhood I want. I can even have my DH drive me out 30 miles and drop me somewhere to run if I see so fit. To the dummy who asked the question: where he resided in relation to the run is IRRELEVANT.[/quote]

My neighborhood is 3 miles and surrounded by unsafe roads so I would drive to other places to run 1) because you should never run the same route over and over 2) it was more interesting to run in different locations[/quote]
