Friends find my husband undesirable

Just tell them that he is an enormously endowed, insatiable sexual tyrannosaur, and you're exhausted from constantly pleasuring him. That'll shut 'em up.

If he's as awkward as the OP describes, they'll never believe he all of a sudden has all the right moves in the bedroom.

I just read this entire thread. Thanks to OP for the excellent entertainment. You can make this shit up.

Your DH sounds like a loser. Deal with it.

You sound desperate, like you married a lame-o because you didnt want to be alone or felt you couldnt do any better.

I think generally people look down on those types of people.

As Seinfeld said, 95% of the population is undateable. You sound like you are in the bottom 10%

I act this way to one of my friends because she always dates the most huge fucking losers I've ever met in my life. People I would NEVER want to hang out with, I am forced to because my friend dates them. After dealing with their awkwardness I quickly lose my patience.

Also, not to be a bitch but there is generally a social hierarchy. When I am a 10 and I date 10s (which I do) I hate when my friend (who is a 7) brings around 3s for me to deal with. Total disruption of the natural social order.

He's also a little dorky and not the most smooth person in the room in social situations. I absolutely adore him and gush about him to my friends. They always respond with, " oh yeah he's your dream guy but I would never date him!"

They also like to sort of make fun of him for his quirks. He has poor visibility driving in rain for example and cancels social obligations due to the weather. My friends make comments like " oh John! He's so funny!"

I don't like that condescending attitude and am beginning to resent it. Am I wrong to be upset?

This seems like the nicest possible response to someone cancelling plans do to the weather. Why can't you drive? Or you can take public transportation/cabs?

I agree, other than "Bless their hearts."

Agreed. It's him being rude, not her.

My husband has extremely poor visibility when it comes to driving in the rain at night. He just literally has a really hard time with it. When I first met him and he would cancel dates or complain about driving in the rain at night I thought it was very odd. After sitting with him through such episodes I've realized it's apparently a real thing. I'd rather he feel comfortable on the road than crash the car driving to a party.

The "No driving in poor conditions" is a real thing. I know TWO people like that, in my small circle of friends. Everyone has their flaws, so I don't tease them.

I also have this problem, but in most cases I'd take a taxi rather than cancel.

I'm embarrassed for you.
