Political Discussion
|
Our former contractor in Montgomery County, owned by a white couple, emailed us last week saying a worker who had worked for them until recently was a legal resident who had been profiled and detained. He was rightfully terrified and she said workers don’t want to show up, especially in DC. She asked people to reach out to the governor and included a script.
They don’t care about residents or small businesses, and they are continuing to racially profile in DC. |
| and chicago and los angeles and memphis and now New orleans |
But cities will do the work of FBI and DEA? |
| OP, who lied and told you that? Watch some real news. They aren't even letting Congress do their oversight duty. |
You should see who is showing up for FBI training. |
You think this discussion is about lawful deportation of people having been given due process and treated humanely throughout? |

They detained him for an hour while they verified his information. What is strange about this case is the lawsuit indicates he is a natural born citizen of Mexican descent who was born in Florida then at age 14 he moved to Alabama. If you listen to the recordings and press conference. He can barely speak a word of English. As he is being detained he yells in Spanish, "Soy ciudano estadounidense [I am a US citizen]" Also of note his 34 year old brother was at the worksite who is undocumented and was arrested. There is someone who is in the background who sounds like his parents are Latino immigrants and yells in English- "he's a citizen, bro!". That guy wasn't detained. Why, obviously because it is really suspicious you are born in the US and you literally can't speak any English. All of his press conferences are done in Spanish. It isn't even that he speaks English with an accent. Is it a requirement in the US to speak English? Absolutely not. You can speak whatever language you want. But if you are at a worksite where your brother is undocumented and is arrested and then they find you yelling in Spanish how you are a US citizen and born in Florida, it is going to take about an hour to verify that information. So he was detained for an hour an arrested. Bad things are actually happening and have happened but I hate it when no one vets incidents and posts these stories that on the surface seem egregious but then when the facts are presented it doesn't seem so bad being detained an hour to check on his identity. Here is a case a little over 10 years ago: Mark Lyttle, who was born in North Carolina and suffers from bipolar disorder and cognitive disabilities, was inexplicably referred to ICE in 2008 as an undocumented immigrant from Mexico even though he had never been to Mexico, shared no Mexican heritage, and spoke no Spanish. ICE detained him for 51 days, despite substantial evidence that he is a U.S. citizen. Nevertheless, ICE officials coerced Lyttle into signing a statement that he was from Mexico, and then put him in removal proceedings, where he was forced to defend himself without ever having the assistance of a lawyer. Lyttle was ordered to be removed from the country in December 2008, transported to the Mexican border, and forced to disembark there and travel through Mexico on foot, with only $3 in his pocket. He spent the next 125 days wandering through Mexico, Honduras, and Nicaragua, sleeping in streets and shelters and enduring abuse and imprisonment because he had no identity documents or proof of citizenship. It was only after Lyttle came across a sympathetic U.S. embassy official in Guatemala that he was able to secure a passport and return to the United States in April 2009. Even then, ICE officials at the Atlanta airport detained him for six days and attempted to remove him again. Only after the assistance of his family and a lawyer was Lyttle released and the case against him terminated...Lyttle will receive $175,000 for the suffering he endured after being detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), who deported him despite ample evidence that he was a U.S. citizen. How many Mark Little's are happening today? That is what is scary to think about. |
You are pathetic. |
| This is a sad, scary country we live in now. It’s totally OK to jump people while wearing masks just because of their skin color. It’s their “job” to do this to people. If they don’t have proof on them, they might get sent to some third country, god knows where. What if that were you or a loved one? Think about that. |
because urban elites feel they are entitled to cheap indentured servants. who is going to take care of their special snowflakes? |

For the millionth time: ICE should be able to pick up illegal aliens from state & local law enforcement agencies. But because these other agencies are often not allowed to cooperate with ICE, they need to resort to picking them up wherever they can find them.
Also, the utter stupidity of the Democrats is the reason these millions of illegal aliens are here in the first place. They cause a big mess, & then get fussy about how others clean up that mess. |
Oh wait, are you a “Biden deliberately let in millions of scary Mexicans in caravans” conspiracy theorist? |
It’s a job works program for people that could make it as mall cops or prison guards. |
Exactly. Only one Democrat had the balls to speak up while Biden allowed in millions of illegals. All the others were silent. Now it’s time to clean up Biden’s mess. |
Not just Mexicans. He allowed in people from all over the world with no vetting. And you seem to believe this didn’t happen. |
