The Hmong have been in the US for almost 50 years! The first Hmong refugees, allies of the U.S. during the "Secret War" in Laos, arrived in America after the communist takeover in Southeast Asia. Large numbers of Hmong were resettled under the Indochina Migration and Refugee Assistance Act of 1975 and the Refugee Act of 1980, escaping persecution in Laos. The vast majority who were not born here are US CITIZENS!

They also stopped Omar's son today to investigate if he is a citizen. He carries his passport with him. IF they know who they are targeting (which of course we know they aren't) they would also know his mom is a Congresswoman (which they probably did know in this case, and they are reportedly improperly accessing DMV records to identify vehicle owners).
