What kind of developmentally stunted loser thinks it's important to conspire with a teen to violate the teen's parents' safety concerns about behavior in their own home?
|
So you lied about your husband not wanting to reply, since he already replied before you posted? |
What’s done is done, but I wouldn’t have sent a picture. |
they knew or had some idea or they wouldn't have asked. it's not like the kid is getting sent upstate over this or condemned to a lifetime of racist criminal justice system stigma or something. It's fine to do. |
They should have cameras |
No I wouldn’t have.
I’d have pretended to miss the text “oops Larla, just saw this, sorry” |
Parents are abdicating their responsibility and involving you. I’d answer as above. This is not your problem. |
What kind of parents have teens but no security cameras? In the year of our lord, 2024?
Hell to the naw! The only place in our house without cameras is inside of bedrooms. |
I wouldn't leave a teenager home along if I had ANY concern this would happen! The parents highly suspected their teen and left them home anyway! Insanity. |
Not all of us want to make our homes a surveilence state. |
Then don’t make your neighbors do your job for you. |
+1 What a sick way of raising children. Isn't the proof of a job well done to have kids who know how to follow the rules without being monitored? "Integrity is what you do when no one is watching." Cameras everywhere is awful parenting. Good God. |
Haven't read the replies but would answer honestly and then say "I'm not sure I'm cut out for further surveillance" and leave a few emojis such as the one sticking out its tongue sideways.
I.e. I'm happy to give you an update this time but I'm not signing up to do this ongoing. I don't want to be in the midst of family drama or remote parenting. |
