hahahahaha! Any reasonable parent DOES NOT rely on testing a teen's resolve in this way. What a poor excuse for a parent. |
and I'm a 60+ year old Grandmother. Even I know not to go away out of town, and not expect things to happen. |
Not gonna read a dozen pages of what I assume are 50% reasonable replies and 50% insane replies. There are only two acceptable responses here. (1) Report what you see truthfully but don't go out of your way to find more details. (2) Say that you don't have any information because you can't see or you're not around, etc. Do not lie for a teenager who isn't your kid. That is creepy and weird. |
Option #3 is just tell the person you are not interested in being their snitch and they should text their kid direct and ask.
That’s what I would do. |
I would have replied truthfully too, OP. But pps have a point that the parents should have plans in place to avoid bringing in the neighbors. |
We have teens and no cameras. But we do have a very close knit neighborhood where no one would mind doing this. They would also take my kid to hospital if need be (and I would take theirs), let my dog out, grab a package off deck, and lend me a cup of sugar. We do all that on our street! Ann’s my kids know there is a high chance I will get a text of it looks like anything shady gojng down. |
Yes, of course you tell. |
Agree |
She asked. Answer honestly. It’d be really awkward if you lied on behalf of a teen you don’t even know well and then your neighbor found out you lied. |
I have teens and would want to know. |
Then you call/text your DC and ask. You can figure out if your DC is lying and go from there. Give DC a chance to explain. |
I am going to lock this thread because the OP was trolling. |
