OP, do you have ADHD, because not checking VM for a week is ... your fault.
--one who has to apologize a lot for not checking VM (usually b/c I can't find my phone). |
| How does one turn off VM? |
How does one not have 30 seconds to listen to their mother’s voice? FFS you people need to get control of your time. You’re just not that important. |
|
Not listening to a VM is as rude as not reading a text. You may also not believe in writing letters but if you got one would you ignore it and throw it in the trash? Just because someone else does choose to communicate that way?
I swear, some of you people think the whole world needs to emulate you, how entitled. |
45, and I don’t know a single person my age who still uses voicemail. Really. We text. If I see a missed call by someone important to me, I return the call. But I don’t listen or leave voicemails unless it is some sort of business office. |
I'm 50, nobody listens to VMs. |
|
If you left an important voicemail at a dentist or doctor’s office and they didn’t respond, wouldn’t you follow up? Same concept here.
Also, it’s very rude to tell someone that a person died over voicemail. |
I talk to my mother every single day. I don’t listen to voicemails. |
Then why don’t you simply deactivate your voicemail? (Bet you won’t answer.) |
And thus you’ve deactivated your voicemail? Yes or no. |
No it's not the same. If somebody dies in my family nobody in my family is leaving a voice mail, how heartless is that. |
No. I just text the person, he what's up. |
Because I don’t feel like it, and because it doesn’t affect me at all not to do so. |
Texts get missed too, or sometimes you think you sent a text and forgot to hit send. If someone that you had a good relationship with didn’t respond to you, you’d assume the best about that person and assume it was a mishap of some sort and they didn’t get the text. You wouldn’t just stew about it and assume you were ignored. That’s why I think something must have been going on in this relationship with OP’s mom before this happened. |
That's obviously OP sock puppeting. |
