As a club Arlington is a bit inconsistent but their top 2011G group is a bright spot locally. How they will fare going forward will be interesting. |
A little silly to pigeon hole a kid at U13. From what I’ve seen the talented players on that team could play any position. Their performance id say is more relative to the sum of all their parts and how they work together rather than any specific one or few players. |
| Sound more like a bit of a luck that the club actually doing something right. |

Probably correct but does any club in this area really ‘develop’ talent or they just hope to end up with quality players coming in from other clubs they’re not happy with? |
| Some do. |
So how does one become “talent” then? Genuinely asking if club is a crucial tool for one to become good solid player or this is more about the kid working on their own outside of club either at home or other training sessions. |
I am interested in this question too. I think both are crucial. The club is important for access to competitive games and teammates that can push you. But outside training is as important to keep skills development and agility and strength ahead of the game. |

| Predictions for Arlington vs Beach? Hearing it’ll be a blowout with Arlington winning by 4 or 5 goals |
| Arlington vs Beach will be good game to watch. One would think they will be competitive. |
| 5-0 over Beach…easy day |
It’s both. As Pp said, a player needs to have access to competitive games AND be able to practice with players that are similarly focused and skilled. Outside training especially individual training is absolutely crucial. And that is the hardest to control or develop because it is a balancing act. Making sure a player is still having fun but developing discipline and consistency in training. Finally - talent is of course partially something a player is born with. We all know there are kids who are born athletic, whether that be speed, strength, agility, quickness, etc and the desire to compete. A lot of this can be learned and trained but some kids are just going to luck out in those departments. |
Didnt arlington just lose this past weekend?? |
