What make Arlington 2011 better than other clubs in the areas?

Is there *any* parent group in youth soccer that is not unbearable? 😜
Anonymous
There might be 1 or 2. Not many.

I think both their defense and offense are strong. They rarely get scored on and able to score goal(s).

Lot's of internal drama, watch what happens when the losses come

Internal drama exists with pretty much all teams if you look hard enough.

What would happen if they lose? They will just move on and play another game. They are 12

They won’t lose in MA ECNL play. Maybe a tournament. This team is at another level.

People keep saying arlington 2011 is next level. Why? Arlington coaches are better at developing them or what make them better than other clubs?

Or are they better athletes?

Are Arlington older teams also “another level”?

Like a pp commented, no stars on the team, just really good coaching; but ECNL play will be more difficult.

They have a few stars. I’m not going to name children on this forum but they have a few GREAT players.

There appear to be a few stars on all the ECNL teams for 2011G. Arlington has great chemistry on the field…practically hive mind…which is why I think they will be top out of the gate. A lot may depend on coaching, culture, and fitness/athleticism as the season progresses.

How about positions instead of names? Just wondering how they match up against the same positions at other clubs. More curious on what make them superior than other 2011 in the areas (better athletes?, better coaching?, outside training? Recruiting from other clubs or home grown?)

As Arlington girls in other age groups don't seem to be dominating in the area if I recall correctly.

Arlington is not dominating in any age group. They are fighting NVA for #3 spot in Northern Virginia as a club. The Arlington parents are the ones calling this race before it’s even started.

The 2011G group at ARL is full of talent. There are SEVEN teams for this club in U13 (DD is in one). Even their mid tier teams aren't bad. The overall talent is great.

This year's top teams have a blend of girls from all the other top teams like McLean, SYC, etc etc. When we tried out from another club, I recall the Dir telling me that they only offered a handful of spots outside of the club because they were that chock full of talent for 2011G. DD was good enough to get in but a lot of players did not make the cut because honestly, something happened a couple years ago where it was like a mass exodus of players to Arl. The tryouts that season were insane - like 142 girls.
