Did you circumcise?

I'm thankful we have two girls because the circumcision debate would have taken a toll on our marriage.

Dh would have wanted to (he is)

I was vehemently against it

Was that your experience when you first blew an uncut penis?

Yes. Never really thought much about it. DH is, and while I don't have the largest sample size, I've never been with a man who wasn't, so it seemed/still seems normal to me. The procedure was no big deal at all. No regrets. Honestly not even something I've thought about since.

Hmm. Tell us more about why you wanted to make your son’s penis look sexier.

I did. Basically, I let my husband decide (he's got this equipment, I don't) and that was what he chose. Done.

FWIW I’m 36, grew up here, went to UVA; in my group of 15ish girlfriends - we’re moderately UMC successful professionals - everyone circumcised. This is anecdotal but my friend works at a preschool - her consensus is that most white families do it, many Hispanic families don’t

Yep

Same. But it was still a tough decision.

No. It reduces sensitivity (and pleasure, especially later in life) and also what if something went wrong in the surgery? Unlikely but if so then I couldn’t explain to my boy that he’s mutilated because we wanted his penis to look sexier.

I was born and grew up in a country where boys are not circumcised so I dated many men and saw lots of penises. So because of that, I felt very strongly to circumcise my son for esthetic reasons. He is 7 and I am very glad I did it.

Anonymous wrote:I chose not to- for one I witnessed enough in the newborn nursery to deem to procedure to be barbaric. Second, I thought it's his body, he should make the choice. Third, my experience with 1 uncircumcised man was vastly superior to any of the circumcised men I've been with.

My son is 6.5 now and we've had zero issues.

+1

Haha
The thing is I know how uncircumcised penises look like in reality ( not just Google photos) so I wanted my son to be circumcised and I am glad i did it when he was a baby.
