General Parenting Discussion
|
I know this is a topic that some moms get really passionate about, so I'm gonna preface this with a request for everyone to please be civil, in fact if someone says something you don't agree with, just don't even respond to them.
If you're a boy mom, did you get him circumcised? And why or why not? I'm just trying to get an idea of what the current trend here is. I personally didn't do it for my son, but I'm still not sure if I made the right choice. |
| No b/c you can always do it later but you can’t undo it. |
| No way |
| Yes |
| My toddler is circumcised. My husband and I had a lot of debates about this and ultimately decided to do it after doing a lot of research and talking to friends with young kids. One of us was not thrilled with the decision. |
| No |
| No, I honestly asked gyn and ped when I was pregnant. The answers they gave me were so ridiculous it was sad. |
| I have girls, but also 6 local nephews across 3 families. None are circumcised. It’s like taking your husband’s last name. No clear trend in either detection, very personal, some people think about it much more than others, and not entirely clear where people will fall based on their politics and progressiveness. |
| No. Absolutely no reason to. I'm not quite in the "it's genital mutilation" camp but I'm pretty close. |
| Yes, we did. Cosmetic preference. No regrets. |
My FIL had to be circumcised as an adult due to a medical issue. He survived the experience, but he wouldn’t wish it on anyone. |
Accurate |
| Yes of course. |
| No. Husband is from a part of the world where it’s not done, so never considered it. |
| Absolutely not! |
