Wait for Tesla or Move On?

The mach-e is really nice. Some of the new hyundai/kias are nice too!

Honestly, Tesla is going to get smoked in the next 2-3 years.

Every manufacturer - domestic, foreign, and foreign luxury - has multiple EV models dropping. BMW has like 5 EV models coming out in the next 18 months. Ford - with the Mustang and F150 Lightening - is going to turbocharge their share of the EV market. Plus Kia and Hyundai are gobbling up the more affordable end of the market. Lexus will have multiple EVs.

That's why I think Elon is trying to pivot to Twitter ownership - to remain relevant. TSLA stock will take a beating.

It’s a crossover.

A “Mustang” crossover.

Lee Iacocca is turning over in his grave.

We are going to look at other options for our next car if he lets Trump back on Twitter.

Just think, we could slap a magnet on him, wrap some copper around the casket, and we could directly convert Ford's total lack of taste into renewable energy!

NP. This is nice. Keep in mind that in the long run, the traditional car manufacturers have a huge advantage. They may be newer to the EV race, but they've been making cars for nearly a century or more. Tesla has a problem with building reliable cars, and moreover, producing reliable cars in such quantities that it will be able to hold on to market share once everyone else catches up. IMO, Teslas are going to become as stale looking as a Prius over time. And while Tesla grapples with all of its production problems, the other companies are going to mass produce quality EVs in many different styles and tastes.

Personally, I can't wait for the new EV Volkswagen Bus.

Tell that to Apple regarding the iPhone.

While I think that's a little extreme, you do you. FWIW, you can likely sell your used Tesla for more than you paid. With the price increases over the years and the pandemic-related delays, they are worth more now that before.

People who think Musk supports Trump don't really understand that's it's not about Trump, it's about the consequences of the ban. Also, people who think Tesla represents Trump doesn't understand Tesla or the reality of people who own them.

I have a big problem if Musk thinks that Trump deserves a voice on Twitter.

And I will not fund his exploits going forward if that’s the case.

All my crazy Trump-supporting relatives left Twitter and moved to far right platforms. There is no balance there to (maybe) help bring them back from the edge.

Uh, you mean the fact that Apple has lost more and more share of the global smartphone market every year? For every iPhone sold, there's something like 5-6 Android-powered smartphones sold.

I guess he wants to stop selling Teslas to Democrats.

The same Democrats who don't eat Chick-Fil-A or root for New England Patriots, I guess.
