| Has any Kindergardeners on Inspired teaching's list moved? We have fingers crossed but seen 0 movement. |
Yes! Our list for K has moved about 10 spots. We were originally wait listed in the 30's and are now down to the 20's. A previous Inspired teaching thread as indicated there is lost of movement in August. |
| Our number is about halfway down the list and it has moved 18 spots. No hope for us, but last year they did make most of their offers for K after August 1. |

There is a previous thread on the K waitlist at Inspired, not sure if this link below will work: http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/728360.page |
| Does anyone know how far into the waitlist they got for K last year (as opposed to how many offers they made)? |
|
I just called the school and was told "no more offers for K at this time"
We wait-listed in the low 20's. |
Hm... Not very helpful. After so many offers last year, that is hard to interpret. Thank you though. |
ITS parent here who got off the K waitlist the day before school started a couple of years ago. I know that you are chomping at the bit! But it really does move in August. Hang in there and good luck. |
Thanks! |
What was your original #? |
low to mid 30s, if i recall correctly. DCUM told me i'd never get in with that number, by the way. and here we are, two years later and two kids at ITS and loving it so very much. |
Thanks. I guess there is no hope for me, I am only in the 60s now. |
| This seems odd since there have been several mentions of people whose numbers are very low for different grades not moving much or at all. We are under 10 for 4th and moved a couple spots but that was before the June numbers were posted, which say there were 0 offers. I'm assuming the movement is due to people dropping off the list. To be sure they will have some actual movement and offers in all grades, right? My other child has a much higher number for PK and that has moved more than 10, but again, likely due to people dropping off and not that many offers. |
This is typical. People with higher (as in bad) numbers will feel like they are "moving" more because of people dropping off, but it doesn't necessarily mean a single person has gotten off the wait list and been offered a space. Meanwhile people who are closer to single digits tend to move the least, unless it is an entry or expansion year -- but when they move it is more likely due to someone being offered a seat. Fewer people choose drop off a list that seems 'possible,' especially in the summer. |
| There should be movement today. We had enrolled our daughter at Inspired teaching for K, and then got called off the waitlist for our #1 choice. (It was a bittersweet decision.) |
