| ITS started school today and I just got a call off the waitlist for K. My DC doesn't start at our enrolled school until tomorrow. I have until Thursday to decide if I'll be accepting the spot or not. I did not expect to be called so soon... |

This is actually good - it's harder after you are settled in elsewhere to decide to move. Good luck with your decision. |

When I checked yesterday, we were number 5. My guess is that others ahead of me declined their offers. |

Either that or they made several offers. Monday was the first day of school in the DCPS traditional calendar, so if kids are switching to a neighborhood school, they would have wanted to decide that by Monday. |

We were called/emailed on a Thursday and had until Monday. We didn't respond, and mid-day Monday the space was declined in the system for us. Like a PP, we did not expect the list to move until later. This was for 2nd grade. |
