Inspired teaching list

The movement would not happen until the spot is accepted or declined by someone else, right?
Yu Ying K has moved four spots for me today.

List should move today - we were 5 on WL and removed ourselves from the WL today to go IB.

Thank you! I just saw it drop one spot for K. Still won't get in, though.

Does anyone have a recent update (from the school)? Was wondering if they will be making any more offers before the start of school for K.....We are wait listed in the high teens

I am also curious here is anyone's list has moved. Neither of my 2 kids' numbers have budged beyond what I suspect is people dropping off the list. I have called the school with no return call twice now...its really odd and frustrating. Anyone else's numbers moving at a normal rate?

What’s frustrating? The list isn’t moving. What is the school going to be able to provide? Isn’t the whole purpose of this myschool is to provide clarity to waitlisters. I get you’re frustrated by not getting into the school you wish. FWIW our K spot has moved one slot.

less than 10. haven't moved a spot. all my other lists have moved. maybe they are waiting to make offers after other schools have so that when students accept they won't jump ship to a higher ranked school . . . because no ships left to jump to

It's kindergartener, no garden involved.

I don't think Inspired Teaching is worried about kids "jumping ship." They have no reason to be worried that they won't fill classes. I think there just aren't that many people leaving the school.

They made a decent amount of waitlist offers last year and virtually none this year. I think people are frustrated because they assume these offers will still be coming. Unless this year is some kind of weird anomaly. But I know families who have in the past got off the waitlist at IT in July and then got off the waitlist at stokes or YY in early august and left, so maybe they are trying to avoid the time waste of orientating families who will leave when other schools' list move. Again, unless this year is some kind of weird anomaly and there is no movement at a school where there has always been some movement.

I had a kindergartener at ITS last year and we had new students joining into the fall.

My list for K refuses to budge. Was last year an anomaly, or maybe this year is? Regardless, seems like it ain't gonna happen.

Looking at the 17-18 data, it doesn't seem that different to me.

In both 17-18 and 18-19 there were only 14 new K seats available. By June in 17-18 they made 0 K offers; by June this year they made 1 K offer.

Obviously we don't know how many the "by August" will say for this year, but last year it was just 14, and they eventually got to 33 by October.

I suppose that could be true. My middling K number has dropped by 23 spots, which is not inconsistent with the 14 offers in the July window last year. But I am surprised that it has moved a net of 3 spots in August so far, I was hoping for more. Actually all my lists are pretty slow this week, I was hoping this would be a week for faster motion.

K just dropped 5 spots, so I guess the long-awaited movement is upon us.
