Never thought in a million years I would ask this question but: what are white people going to do about addressing the radicalization of young white men? The Sante fe shooter, the Texas bomber, Sandy Hook shooter, columbine, Parkland, racist/warrior cop police officers taking out young black kids, recent lynchings of black people in the south...all these events were conducted by people with Associations or interest in white supremacist and far right ideologies. Im disappointed but not surprised that major media is not picking up on these connections. But seriously: whenever other groups complain, we always point to “Chicago” or LA. We pin the blame back and ignore valid concerns. This is despite the thousands of non profits and activists in those communities that are working to fix issues in their own communities. What are white people doing to fix their issues? Can we have a mature stand-alone discussion about this w/o putting down other ethnicities. Or maybe we simply like the idea of American schools being more dangerous than Afghanistan as long as we don’t address the elephant in the room?

I truly don’t think a mature discussion about this is possible on an anonymous internet message board.

Which isn’t to say your concern isn’t valid, OP. I just don’t think this is the appropriate forum.

You are 100% right, OP. The shooters are self-radicalizing on the Internet the same way some of the ISIS and Al-Qaida terrorists self-radicalize online, just with a different ideology. I have no idea how to stop it. Shutting down the websites wouldn’t work ... they just pop-up elsewhere or use legitimate social networks (like Facebook groups) to organize.

Please provide links showing all you mentioned were radicalized and killing to advance white supremacy

I think this is a topic of conversation on the progressive white left, not a huge topic, but I know I"ve talked to people about it. Like the pp, I think it's hard because it seems like many of these young white men are deeply disengaged from their communities or other meaningful IRL relationships. When you listen to narratives of men who were part of organized hate groups and then left, they usually point to unconditional love from the people they were trained to hate, but I don't know how you turn that into some kind of systematic outreach.

Do your own research. Santa FE HS murderer followed Trump and Pro Gun sites. Stop excusing behaviors of white men that you would condemn of brown men/non-Christians.

NP. I love how you think “please” makes you sound refined, reserved, and thoughtful. You do this repeatedly. You won't read the article, you may regard The Guardian as a tainted source, and anything short of Dylan Roof tearfully telling you personally that he regrets wasting his teen years on Stormfront won’t be compelling anyway.

OP, the PP was correct. This site is frequented by FFU types. No conversation is possible.

These were racial?

Please- if you want to take a racial view of criminal justice, you don’t need to lock up the whites.

It's news to me. Did these people only shoot certain people of certain colors?
