Your daughters will get to check the box that they're Hispanic. They might actually get some special privileges from being part of a protected class in hiring, promotion, scholarships, etc.

Being black (whether or not AA), Hispanic, female or lbgt is a huge boost in admissions particularly the more elite the school is deemed to be. I have been privy to GPA, SAT, extracurriculars, awards and honors, income, compelling family history, etc. Being a white male or an Asian male puts the student at a huge disadvantage—no diversity boxes get checked for these students. My spouse is involved in hiring in the workplace for coveted jobs in a sought after industry and being a white male is a huge disadvantage. Don’t for a minute tho k your daughters will not benefit from being able to claim Hispanic status.

If universities or employers want to have a more diverse community or workforce, that is their prerogative. I'm sure your husband would be highly sought after if he went into a field where white men were underrepresented. Early childhood education or nursing come to mind.

What’s going on in the white community that’s causing this radicalist like behavior? Why are young white men becoming susceptible to online radicalism from far right nationalist groups? I hear complaints about white oppression. I actually agree that it exists, but the oppressors are themselves white men. I hear “favorable” treatment for minorities(black ppl). This isn’t worthy of debate as evidence shows it primarily helps white women (and therefore white men through marriage) and evidence shows blacks are worse off economically and academically than pre-civil rights act. So that’s not it.

Besides all theae arguments are blaming other groups. What ever happened to not making excuses and pulling yourself up by your boot straps?

When my grandmother was born, women didn't have the right to vote. When my parents went to high school, they were still segregated. Women and people of color have been widely regarded as inferior for CENTURIES, relegated to slaves and servants, robbed of the power to control their own destinies. I have read the incels and red pills forums on Reddit. My blood has been chilled. I have seen and I have been warned. But I still can't change the fact that white men aren't oppressed.

You really just don’t get it. I told you my high school experience and it seems like you are implying it never happened because I’m a white male. It happened, I was tortured in high school and I hated the other kids. And for your information, it was a largely white high school. They were other white kids bullying me.

I am the mother of a white boy and the wife of a white man and many posters on this forum can probably say the same. I worry about many things regarding my family. Their health. The future of the environment. The future of the economy in the US. Their character. Violence. But I have never once worried about my husband or son being oppressed or discriminated against. FWIW, I've never worried about that for my white daughter either, but I do worry about violence against her.

Trump was there backlash. And he’s delivering. Too bad it’s too late. All far right Supreme Court picks and breakdown of checks and balances in our government won’t stop the demographic change tide. Their only hope is (1) mass migration of other far righters like folks from east Germany, Ireland and other places going that direction and (2) a faster acceptance of white Latinos into White culture. 70%+ If Latinos are white but right now Trump and his folks are using them as a dog whistle. Better get with the program.

This thread is based on a fallacy.

Whites outnumber other races in this country. There are 5 white males for every black male. It is expected that white males will be responsible for the majority of shootings. If anything, it's Asian men that commit a disproportionate amount of mass shootings, relative to their small population, in this country.
