Radicalization of White men/shootings

They somehow are convinced they are special and are destined to save the world. How do we teach white males humility, that they really are just nobody. that they should get meaning in their lives by raising kids. All the rest of us know this already.

Society always needs someone to hate. Hate is a powerful emotion, same as love. People feel good indulging in it. And hating white males is politically safe. No one will criticize anyone for hating white men. They are a culturally approved scapegoat for everything.

And shooting up schools helps dissipate that antipathy?
I don’t get it.

If someone suggested that all black men were criminals because a few black men were in fact criminals, you'd call them a racist. And you'd be correct.

But you can suggest that all white men are mass killers, because a few white men were mass killers, and do so without even a hint of hypocrisy.

Fascinating.

Avoids the topic at hand. What are YOU going to do to stop or reduce the radicalization of young white men. Hint: getting ppl to stop calling calling out white men when they shoot up schools or take out cops isn’t a solution.

What are YOU doing to stop the violence committed by black men? Despite being only 6 percent of the population, black men - according to the FBI - commit more than 50 percent of all violent crime in America.

I think there's a bigger problem there.

Online influence is an issue. But a valedictorian and Penn grad that read Ayn Rand and killed the CEO of the most awful health insurance company in America is not reflective of a racial pattern. Whereas your carjackers and murderers typically are. That's a much bigger problem.

Why are young white men becoming susceptible to online radicalism from far right nationalist groups? I hear complaints about white oppression. I actually agree that it exists, but the oppressors are themselves white men. I hear “favorable” treatment for minorities(black ppl). This isn’t worthy of debate as evidence shows it primarily helps white women (and therefore white men through marriage) and evidence shows blacks are worse off economically and academically than pre-civil rights act. So that’s not it.

Besides all theae arguments are blaming other groups. What ever happened to not making excuses and pulling yourself up by your boot straps?

There is no “white community” because that is not allowed. That’s the answer. Many white men have no cultural heritage that they feel a part of.

Never thought in a million years I would ask this question but: what are white people going to do about addressing the radicalization of young white men? The Sante fe shooter, the Texas bomber, Sandy Hook shooter, columbine, Parkland, racist/warrior cop police officers taking out young black kids, recent lynchings of black people in the south...all these events were conducted by people with Associations or interest in white supremacist and far right ideologies. Im disappointed but not surprised that major media is not picking up on these connections. But seriously: whenever other groups complain, we always point to “Chicago” or LA. We pin the blame back and ignore valid concerns. This is despite the thousands of non profits and activists in those communities that are working to fix issues in their own communities. What are white people doing to fix their issues? Can we have a mature stand-alone discussion about this w/o putting down other ethnicities. Or maybe we simply like the idea of American schools being more dangerous than Afghanistan as long as we don’t address the elephant in the room?

Nothing. You need to stop trying to demoralize white people for existing.

The problem with violent young black men is easier to figure out - they are broke and growing up in bad conditions with few opportunities to look forward to. They don't see a future, they turn to nihilism and opportunistic crime.

Can't say the same about most young white men though.

Where is the white community in all of this? Why haven't they condemned these killings? Where are Hannity and Bill O'Reilly?

Do your own research. Santa FE HS murderer followed Trump and Pro Gun sites. Stop excusing behaviors of white men that you would condemn of brown men/non-Christians.

This guy is far left. Maybe time to take
politics out of schools. He seemed like a nice kid at Gilman. Looks like UPenn may be where he became radical.

Wrong, black men are arrested at that rate, arrests do not equal guilt!

His twitter doesn't seem 'liberal' but I don't think political boxes are easy in these cases.

Luigi Mangione is absolutely NOT "far left" and is in fact quite MAGA. He posted and retweeted about the "woke mind virus" and posted about securing the borders and fiscal conservatism and trashes MSM and is generally pretty right wing in his tweets, retweets and comments.

Nope. He's not remotely liberal and in fact more like totally red-pilled.

Most “mass shootings” are gang related and take place in predominantly minority neighborhoods in cities like Chicago. They don’t make national news because they’re so common and related to other criminal activity. And they go unsolved because whole communities close ranks despite underlying knowledge.

Mass shootings by white boys are anomalies that are caused by mental health issues and target random people/kids, and often times no one can predict them except for close family members with blinders on. So they get media attention.
