It was cold. So many drivers called in. Didn't want to risk other people's kids.

It wasn't even cold this morning.

It was a nice day to be outside. My kid's bus was on time for a change (it's often late even when the weather is fine).

It's 7pm and still no apology letter?

Just came through but I’m not sure it’s an apology

Why would they apologize? Today was a huge success.

+1. A well earned victory lap if anything.

I’m sorry you have such a tenuous grasp on reality, but everyone else realizes today was an excellent demonstration that schools can stay open in the winter.

Sorry, that's what some would call getting dunked on.

I don’t think the email was rude, just self indulgent. I want them to make the best decisions they can. I’m not interested in receiving emails where they critique their own performance.

Pathetic and delusional response. A small number of teacher absences and disruption to regular routine? 2 buses didn't even make it to school with students and only 1 of my kids MS teachers showed up lol buses sliding and stuck or pulled over. But, "great success!" Toodaloo MFs!

At least students ate or got fed

Which one? Wasn't the last one played last month?

Hahaha ! It was incredibly condescending and was also gas lighting.
Please post it to your local next door. People who dont have children in mcps should be aware of the nonsense that goes on. These clowns are overpaid for the results they get. Adding teenager attitudes into communications is going too far.

Why didnt you take your own plows out on state maintained roads around the county to clear the snow and ice underneath the snow this morning? If not waiting for "government" you could have done the cleaning and school buses could have gotten by safely on I270, and roads such as MD 650, MD 355, MD 29, MD 185, MD 410, MD 28? Etc. Did you go out to see road conditions. The county is big and one decision should not be made for the entire county especially on days like today..

They should have done a 2 hr delay. Too many teachers out. Most so far this year in a single day. Not a lot of learning happened. They probably would have been there with a 2 hour delay. It was a messy. Taylor made a mistake.

To not even acknowledge that there were any bus issues this morning was quite a choice they made in that email! I’m not saying they needed to grovel and swear to close school next time any snow is forecast but that was some bs.

There are bus issues every day, snow just makes it worse.
