DP.

My cynical side says he would throw Ukraine to Russia, in exchange for Israel (iran and Russia fund Hamas).

Ukraine would never be invaded on Trump's watch. They would negotiate some kind of deal. Russia would keep the occupy territory (that they still have despite almost two years of war), but at least there would not be thousands of dead Ukrainians and millions of displayed Ukrainians.

You are so completely full of sh*t!!

Trump would hand over Ukraine on a silver platter to Putin.

Whom do you think is behind Hamas' invasion of Israel? Whom do you think benefits most from this new Hamas-Israel war? Whom do you think continues to fund Iran who in turn funds Hamas?

Putin is Trump's best friend.

And you are going to vote to destroy Ukraine and allow Palestinians to be slaughtered because you're "whine, whine" upset with Biden?

I don't care what you do if it doesn't affect me, but if Trump wins because whiny complainers like you can't face the reality that Trump is tied to Putin who wants to destroy the US, well, I beg you to reconsider.

If Trum would hand over Ukraine on a silver platter to Putin, why he didn't do that in 4 years of his presidency? Ukraine is already destroyed to ashes and it takes at least 20 years to rebuilt. And this destruction happened on Biden watch. And I am Ukrainian by the way.

Trump was giving Ukraine to Russia peacefully. No need to invade. He was working to end NATO, he removed Masha Yovanovitch, the honest pro-Ukrainian anti-corruption US Ambassador, sent Giuliani and Sondland and Perry there to negotiate deals to allow corrupt Americans and Russian oligarchs take control of Ukrainian oil and gas, and he completely accepted Putin’s idiotic position that any place where Russian is spoken rightly belongs to Russia. His Ukraine policies represented Russia’s interests more than they represented U.S. interests.

This is just CNN side of the story. There is much more to that. Calling Yovanovtch honest and anti-corruption is laughable. She was clueless how to deal with the Ukrainian level of corruption.

You are delusional. She was outstanding representing U.S. interests and helping Ukraine adopt systems and practices that would enable them to increase their trade participation in the western economy. She was a career Foreign Service Officer who spoke Russian and had served with distinction as Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan and Armenia, posts that were at least as challenging as Ukraine. Trump sent Giuliani and Sondland and Perry, corrupt partisans who were an embarrassment to the United States, and did not know anything about Ukraine or Russia or U.S. policy and interests.

dp. If you think that a large power like Russia will allow a bordering country to join NATO and EU, you are a delusional neocon. Trump was a terrible diplomat but incredibly sane and shrewd militarily and strategically. The arrogance and delusions of neocons destroyed Ukraine, weakened Europe and accelerated US decline of power and influence.

There was nothing about Trump's foreign policy that was in the interests of the United States. EVERYTHING was transactional.

Much of recent decades of U.S. FP has been against interests of almost all Americans. We deserve better than Trump, but he has been able to succeed in no small measure due to the establishment’s FP failures.

Like what are some examples of foreign policy failures and what were Trump’s actual success?

Here’s the one year warning: do better. Stop marginalizing people. Stop characterizing criticism and dissent as Trumpism.

Because no matter how many times you say “blue no matter who” you will have no one to blame but yourselves. Everyone sees this coming.

I think the polling data from the past few weeks is something the DNC won't ignore. The alarm bells are ringing. It will be interesting to see the messaging that comes out of the Biden campaign in the coming weeks. If there is any chance of Biden being convinced to back out of the race for a second term, it would be best if that decision and announcement is made much sooner than later. If Biden were replaced by a normal candidate, the RNC's hand could be forced into getting Trump off the ticket mode as they will quickly realize Trump would have zero chance against a normal Dem candidate.

I will not vote for a Democratic presidential candidate unless they present a transition team free of neocon members from the Biden and Obama admins.

But you will be happy to enable the rise of a Christian-fascist leader in the alternative. Bravo!

The lesser of two evils.

I suppose if you are a White Christian, then sure. For the rest of us, not so much.

Was it the mean tweets? Because the world was a safer, less violent and more prosperous place under Trump.

Hmm those riots at the capital were pretty peaceful as well as protests at Charlottesville with the tiki torches.

Those Tiki Torches in Charlottesville are almost quaint compared to some of the things I’ve heard people who are in MY party say about Jews like me in the last three weeks. I’m stepping back from thinking of myself as a moderate Democrat. I’ve seen what other people who also describe themselves as moderate Democrats are saying about me, and we are not the same people. I’m not even sure we’re the same species at this point. I’m no5 prone to dramatics like burning voter registration cards or anything, but I’m going to be changing the way I vote. I hope Ron DeSantis is the republican nominee next year, because if he is, I’m voting for him and will do my best to convince everyone I know to vote for him too. I might even vote for Trump, if the choice is between Trump and Biden, because the Democratic Party needs a housecleaning event and losing everything might be what’s necessary to achieve it. So be it.

I don’t think you ever were a moderate Democrat. And I think you’re flat out lying about what what people your party are saying about Jewish people. I’m going to guess that it was probably criticism of Israel’s treatment of Muslims and Israel’s support of Jewish settlers in Muslim areas.

But again, there were Jewish people who supported the Nazis. They thought they were special. They thought they’d be exempt.

They forgot history. Beria was jewish. Malinowskiy was jewish. They sent thousands of jewish to concentration camps.

We don’t ask Russia’s permission to add countries to NATO and we don’t grant Russia imperialist control of the independent countries that formerly were SSRs. Ukraine wants and needs to be independent of Russia. The correct US policy is to support that, not to kiss Putin’s ass the way Trump did.

I have been very curious when democrats were going to start calling out the glaring hypocrisy of their own. You have a couple dozen glassbowls parading through the night with tiki torches chanting "we will not be replaced" and democrats scream about THERE IS NO BOTH SIDES! NAZIS!
And yet in the last three weeks there has been more nazi like sentiment and behavior on the left, supporting genocide, full throated protests calling for the eradication of peoples and its been barely a shrug.
And some are actually defending the "kids" aka grown a$$ adults at elite schools that signed documents expressing joy for the carnage. I mean WTAF.
I am sure fringe white supremacist wish they could get this much adulation and support as the real Nazis are right now.

Democrats do not agree with the far left who express anti-semetic rhetoric. This isn't hard. There are racists of all stripes that Trump and MAGAism has unleashed in this country. They are the "deplorables" that the right criticized Hillary to no end about. the different, you don't see mainstream Dems embracing the rhetoric. Same cannot be said for the right.

I’m a democrat. And what’s scary is that progressive democrats fan the flames of it. You have Ilhan Omar who doesn’t even hide her anti semitism. The rest of the squad is just as bad. As a Democrat, I am in a position where we need to caucus with progressives but after the past month I cannot and will not be able to vote for them.

Jamal Bowman represents my district - I didn’t vote for him in the primary but held my nose and voted for him in 2020, but I will not vote for him again after he refused to vote for a bill condemning Hamas. Our district is probably 20% Jewish, has been redsitricted since 2020, and I sincerely hope he is primaried and loses next year.

The squad cannot be trusted when it comes to antisemitism and extremism, and it’s real problem for democrats.

The establishments failures in recent decades:

And I never asserted Trump had any successes at all, so I don’t feel compelled to play your dumb game. I will say that excusing the massive disasters of the recent past by pretending that Trump is somehow a great move down from the past’s Olympian heights, is extra-rank middlebrow BS.

So be it.

Please direct me to any examples of Ilhan Omar’s antisemitism.

I don't believe Trump would handle this situation better. I do believe there would be a high, if not certain, likelihood that we would not be in this position.

Oh really? How - with his awesomeness? Reminder: he threw fuel on the fire by moving the US embassy to Jerusalem, thereby removing the US as a good faith arbiter.

The establishments failures in recent decades:
-GWOT
-Afghanistan
-Iraq (for decades!)
-NATO expansion/ starting a war with Russia
-the F-ed U.S. role in Israel/Palestine
-LatAm as a source of instability, including via migrants to the U.S
-and there’s a lot more

And I never asserted Trump had any successes at all, so I don’t feel compelled to play your dumb game. I will say that excusing the massive disasters of the recent past by pretending that Trump is somehow a great move down from the past’s Olympian heights, is extra-rank middlebrow BS.

Now go through your list and figure out who is at the root of those failures: Republicans or Democrats.

(It’s the Republicans in almost all those cases, and not even indirectly. The Republicans went in and started crap everywhere.)

Tlaib (who I actually don’t like) had the temerity to accurately call Israel “an apartheid government.” So she stated a fact and the PP says she can’t even write this down it’s so bad.

What with the Jewish world not being a monolith, other Jewish people have other feelings: ““Rep. Tlaib and Rep. Bush both issued statements that mourned the loss of Israeli and Palestinian civilian lives, and then said we need to address the root causes of violence to get to peace, and they are now being attacked,” said Beth Miller, the political director of Jewish Voice for Peace Action, a progressive Jewish group.“

I don't think AOC is a racist. I do think the other three are.

That said, it is three elected Democrats in the House. None of them are House leadership or party leadership. They are not the mainstream of the party, and certainly do not speak for the President or any of the Administration.

It is a very different scenario than the GOP, where the racist and crazy are core to the party leadership and main stream elected officials. Certainly more so than most of their voters.

14:40 here

I am Jewish.

I agree with her that the current Israeli government and policy is very similar to the worst of the South African Government of the last 20th century.

I think Netanyahu and Likud have been one of the worst things that could have happened to Israel.
