Those ranchers don’t want to lose the land in those areas either. |
Apparently the networks won’t carry his address tomorrow. Lol! |
Woohoo |
Finally. Don’t show the fake news. |
Well, first, the majority of Americans do not want a wall. https://poll.qu.edu/national/release-detail?ReleaseID=2590 Second, I hope you’re not implying that east coast Americans wearing suits and ties aren’t “REAL” people. Why would what they want be any less real or important than what Americans in the south, or anywhere else in this country want? I’ve lived in the northeast, on the west coast, in the south, and in the DC area. I’ve lived and worked in urban areas, suburbaban areas and rural areas. I assure you, there are real people in all those places. |
Does this mean IRS workers will be working without pay? |

Well, I think it’s likely a bunch of lawsuits will result. So who knows if they’ll be forced to work without pay? Assuming they can even get anyone to come back to work. You have to understand that these are seasonal employees. A season at the IRS can be anything from 3 months to all year depending on a variety of things including but not limited to seniority and workload. Some of these employees may have been released last June and worked another job or are taking care of kids/grandkids. A lot of retired people work at these places as something to do for a few months out of the year (such as opening mail) and as a way to make some extra money. You might have some trouble getting someone that’s not working and not being paid to come back for tax season to work and not be paid. |
Also how can they legally issue refunds without appropriations? Not a lawyer but this doesn’t smell right |
They can't. Trump doesn't know anything about appropriations law. Apparently neither does Pence. |
Don't they have anyone with a functioning brain over at the WH? |
Refunds do not come from appropriated funds but the workers’ pay does. The lawyers are bending over backwards to make it happen. |
We’re dealing with a President who said he would get rid of all of our then $19 trillion of debt in eight years. Then he wanted to renegotiate America's debt with the nation's creditors. Then he said the U.S. government could print money to stave off default. Appropriations law is WAY out of his league. |
Are they going to do this every time someone complains about not receiving a government service (small business loan approval, EPA permit) or a government issued payment? Make federal workers provide these services and process the payments without pay. |
